Three group 31 batteries & my onboard charger. There isn't room for anything else.

4 batteries, 2 dual chargers, 1 fluid funnel (you can still spill oil with remote fill), oil tank, large wash cloth, pedestal mount and small seat, jumpers. Sometimes I'll throw the bumpers back there

Aside from my batteries and onboard charger I keep my spare prop back there, some hand tools and my docking lines.

I have 2 battery compartments in my old Ranger. Both of them are small enough so that the only things that fit in there are the batteries.

If keeping any metal items back there make sure to cover the battery terminals so the metal can't touch both at the same time. A sure way to have a fireworks show you really don't want to see.

A milk crate containing:

a) At least one full jug of oil (I run an oil injection 2 cycle)

B) Rope

c) Jumper cables to jump start my outboard battery off the trolling motor batteries in the event that it has died

Outside the milk crate I have some bumpers and a tool case

A couple of extension cords, a prop wrench, and a petite, inflatable college girl who adores me.

It's same on my Champion.  I keep the pee bottle with the cranking battery :)

All the beer that won't fit in the rest of the storage. Always have a cookout with friends after the day at the lake.

Batteries and several large bundles of fine steel wool.  (I don't know why my boats keep catching on fire).

Please just be mindful of flammable rags, (or steel wool :)), in a tournament my buddies oil rag ignited. Someone behind him had to inform him that he was on fire. It took two extinguishers to put it out. Also, heavy objects need to be secured very well. Another guy jerry rigged a fastener for a spare prop and of course it broke. The flying prop damaged his hull pretty good before he knew it.
