massrob Posted February 11, 2015 Posted February 11, 2015 I have never seen any about bass. With how popular they are to catch I would think someone would make one about them.I've seen them about every other animal but no bass. I would love to see what they do underwater all day. If anyone knows if there is one please tell me where I can find it. Kind of a weird question but I'd love to see this. Thanks guys 1 Quote

FloridaFishinFool Posted February 11, 2015 Posted February 11, 2015 Bigmouth Forever! Shot right here in central Florida in 1996 by Glen Lau and his fishing buddy Homer Circle. His original 1973 documentary Bigmouth is also still available. Glen still has a home and business in the Ocala area of Florida and you can buy his 3 DVD set for right at $40.00. I plan on buying the set this year too. Definitely worth the price for the information contained within. Here is a link to the DVD set: http://realbass.net/shop/dvds-books/bvl-detail Old Glen is now right at 79 years old and still fishing. I found a 2009 article about him: http://www.cleveland.com/outdoors/index.ssf/2009/05/glen_lau_has_evolved_from_ohio.html Here is an image from the 2009 article of Bigmouth documentary film legend Glen Lau: D'ARCY EGAN/THE PLAIN DEALER I love this quote from the article because of how true it is: "I hate the tournaments," said Lau. "At a good bass lake on the weekend, the guy with a little 15-foot boat and 10-horsepower motor has to wait hours to launch because of all the tournament boats. Then wait another couple of hours to put his boat back on the trailer. "Public waters belong to the people, not tournaments that promote fishing in order to sell more boats and tackle." Definitely a legend who tells it like it is... 9 Quote

reelnmn Posted February 12, 2015 Posted February 12, 2015 Love the videos but I couldn't disagree more with the quote. Most tournaments launch at safe light while I have already launched and am setup on my spot by the time they start oozing off. Plus most great bass lakes have multiple ramps so this shouldn't even be a consideration. Quote

Super User geo g Posted February 13, 2015 Super User Posted February 13, 2015 RIP Homer. A great person who loved fishing, and a life long student of the sport. Quote
bassguytom Posted February 13, 2015 Posted February 13, 2015 Hook n look is a good underwater show that shows how bass relate to structure, environment and lures. It shows bass fishing from the above and below the water perspective. 1 Quote

massrob Posted February 14, 2015 Author Posted February 14, 2015 Thanks so much for all these great videos I've been working to much to watch them but this weekend I will be watching bigmouth. Hook n look is an awesome show that's what got me thinking about documentarys. Quote
Super User Sam Posted February 14, 2015 Super User Posted February 14, 2015 Hook n' Look is outstanding. You can purchase each year's videos. I have a number of them and it is interesting to see how the bass move, hide, hit your baits, etc. Go to their web site and note if they are still selling those DVDs. Quote

Shipped 2nd day Tuesday and still not here....nothing updated in their tracking since the 11th. Is it any wonder they are circling the drain? Quote
