P-Line CXX in 10 lb.

You mention this line quite often. I think I am going to try a spool.

Correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't 10lb CXX have a breaking strength of 22lbs? I use to use CXX but it had a little to much memory for my liking

Trilene Big Game #10 & #12 are great lines and the price is very reasonable.

I'm looking for a quality line in the 10 - 12 lb range. Don't use braid, usually only clear or mono. Any ideas? Just tired of getting medium sized spools that don't last long.

Hootie, I have been using P-line cxx forever on all my crank, spinner bait, etc. reels. Trent is wrong , it is a co- poly line and has a great strength to diameter ratio. Not only that, it's "durn cheep" A 600 yard spool of 10 lb. is about $18 at most shops.

You would be better off with Izorline XXX , it's strong and doesn't have the horrific memory of Yo-Zuri hybrid and P-line CXX , you will like it a lot , cause if you decide on Yo-Zuri or CXX , you might want to buy one of their big spools cause you'll be changing line after every two or three fishing trips ..

Sunline Defier Armilo is a very nice line, but costly. I'd highly recommend it but it doesn't come in a large spool that I'm aware of.

In the bulk spools I like Big Game, Stren Hi Impact, and Mustad Ultra Line.

Ok. Big question. Had some p line fluorocarbon on my rod about 8 months ago. Wasn't impressed because no line memory was basically a lie. Even with conditioner, it still tangled. Almost as bad as when line isn't spooled on correctly. Should I give fluorocarbon another chance or go mono/copoly with a fluorocarbon leader when needed? Keep in mind this will be used year round with no line chance until necessary.

Braid/ fluorocarbon is generally a better option and VERY cost effective.

I'd go with the Sunline. Just Feels that much better.

Ok, I've come to a conclusion that a trip to BPS isn't a smart idea, but it's happening. I'm getting a new Carbonlite and I'm wondering if I should just break down and get fluoro.
