Super User Montanaro Posted February 10, 2015 Super User Posted February 10, 2015 What's the largest reel handle yall are comfortable with for bass fishing? I want a tatula hd that has a 100mm handle but I'm considering putting the lexa 400 120mm handle on it for swimbaits and punching and taking the stock handle and putting it on my t3 1016 to take it from 80 to 100mm. Super User rippin-lips Posted February 10, 2015 Super User Posted February 10, 2015 Hawgtech sells a 102mm handle and a lot of people on here really enjoy using it. I have a 96mm coming here soon. Try the 120. You might like it. Quote
Super User Jrob78 Posted February 10, 2015 Super User Posted February 10, 2015 I feel like 95-100mm is about perfect for me. I tried a 120mm and it was noticeably long, I'm sure I would have gotten used to it after awhile though. (It was a friends reel.) Quote
mjseverson24 Posted February 10, 2015 Posted February 10, 2015 90-100 seems to be a good range for me. 100 is the longest i have used so maybe longer works well too within reason... Mitch Quote
Super User SirSnookalot Posted February 11, 2015 Super User Posted February 11, 2015 I'm a spinning user, the handle is important to me. This is a size 20 soron reel, I put a size 40 handle on it. I prefer the length and the different knob. This is a lightweight saltwater combo that I mainly use for bass fishing now, have caught many a 15-20# snook on it, jacks have spooled me, lol. Rod don't look bad for being nearly 10 years old. Quote
