SpencerLittle Posted February 10, 2015 Posted February 10, 2015 Missile baits shockwave in either she that they are made. Colors wise I like any shad color. Quote
bassinyea Posted February 10, 2015 Posted February 10, 2015 Yum mud minnow for me pearl white color. They actually give you some of these baits with the flash mob and flash mob jr I think. They are very durable and stay on the jighead well. At first I was using SK shadalicious hollow bodied baits and didnt like them as well as solid body swimbaits. The hollow bodies have a little more rolling action when fished on a jighead that I like when fishing a single swimbait but I dont really like it on A rigs. They also tear up easier even though I used super glue to attach them to the jigheads. I know of one lake close by where they murder an A rig this time of year, basically if you wanna win a tournament there right now you better be throwing it. Another lake I fish even more often, they wont touch the thing. The lake that they eat it good on is a little bit clearer water so I think maybe that is what makes the difference. Quote

Hanover_Yakker Posted February 10, 2015 Posted February 10, 2015 PowerTeam Lures 4.8" Swinging Hammer as the primary and the 4.5" Curly Tail Grubs or 3.6 JP Hammershads as the teasers. The Swinging Hammer has the best tail action and thump I have ever used in a soft plastic swimbait. Quote
Kyle46N Posted February 13, 2015 Posted February 13, 2015 Most of you probably have not heard of them, but the best combo of durability and tail thump is the Matrix Shad. It's sold by a gentleman in Slidell, Louisiana. It's huge all over Louisiana and Mississippi. I've fished them in the salt for the past few years. Kid you not, it was not uncommon for us to go through 40 trout or more on one bait. And trout have teeth by the way. And the tail thump is so pronounced that you feel it on the retrieve. They are about 4 inches, maybe just shy of that. Great colors too. Perfect for the Alabama rig. Better thump than all of the above baits, and more durable by far. http://matrixshad.com/shop/category/matrix-shad-2/ Quote
