I am starting to really enjoy these long cold winters we have had the pat couple years. Gives me time to put all the weight back on that melted off me during the summer, and I love being able to be a jerk on multiple internet forums. During the spring/summer/fall all I have time for is BR.

Plenty of snow overnight & a nice 40 below zero wind chill for tonight.

That will keep you by the fire . . . . .

I wish you guys would keep all that snow and artic weather up there where it belongs!

Looks like we are in for a blizzard here tomorrow night. High winds, temperatures

dropping into the mid 20's and 2"-3" of snow. Fortunately I was able to grab the last

loaf of bread and gallon of milk left in Memphis.

Probably a good thing.  I've never heard of making booze with bread and milk!

Seems Boston is seriously getting Bombed by the powder...

We've had about 3' as of this morning and are expecting 12 - 18" tonight into tomorrow.  I've got an 11 HP Ariens Snow Thrower and am running out of room & height to throw it on my property (6 - 7' tall piles where I can throw it).  My lawn's going to look great in June, and pond/lake levels will be great.....

I've spent every February day shift shoveling hydrants in my district.  It makes for good review of their location....

Though remember - it's mid February - Just a few more weeks and snow turns to slush, the slush turns to water (and flooding on the coast, where I live) ... FISHING SEASON ISN'T FAR AWAY !!!!

RICHMOND, VIRGINIA

SATURDAY NIGHT

8:00 PM

Yes! We were getting snow and it was sticking to the grass, trees and streets.

Had to drive four miles home from a Valentine's Day party and the wind was blowing and the snow was getting heavier and heavier.

Driving was very hazardous.

Storm passed and it is now clear.

Roads still covered with snow.

Will read how many accidents happened tonight in Monday's newspaper due to the snow and wind.

I'd have to agree, though further south,

down in Hampton Roads. We had a ghastly

amount of snow barely covering the green

grass underneath -- I  think it was on Thurs.,

or maybe Friday.

Somebody is sending bone-chilling cold our

way tonight, though. Wind chills to dip down

to -5º.

But seriously, I did live just south of Rochester,

and the winters were awful at times. Flat farm

land allowed wind to utterly freeze entire homes.

Don't miss the winters one iota. Summers? They

were quite nice.

Virginia...I used to live in College Park on Drew Dr when I was like 5 to 11 yrs old. Lots of good times. Did a lot of BMX racing, fireworks, smoked my first cigarettes, a few fights....good times.

You do know that some of us up north have been sticking pins in little dolls with names like "Bubba" and "Billy Joe Dick Bob" since you started taunting us last fall. I saw that Guntersville had enough ice for a car to drive on it years ago. This may be the year that it happens again. When we have long winters, half frozen minds can be a dangerous thing.

8 to 10 inches forecasted for Richmond from Monday night into Tuesday.

I hope they are wrong but it doesn't look like it.

And I have to go to Poquoson (Tidewater area) on Tuesday; Lebanon (southwest Virginia) on Wednesday; and Bethesda, Maryland on Thursday then head to the Classic on Friday.

How true.  Of course the odds got all fouled up when I decided that I would never run for political office in Chicago.

Does that matter?

When i ice fished the same lake 4 weeks ago it had 9" of black ice on it I can imagine it's probly twice that now

In NH we have received over 7ft of snow in 3.5 weeks. My poor snow blower is no longer above he snow in the middle of my backyard. We always get snow here, we have always received big storms. What I never remember is receiving storm after storm and getting over 1ft each storm.
