A few weeks ago the weather service thought we might get some.  We didn't, but they closed schools anyway!

We have a slightly different problem. Spring is officially more than a month away, but my crocus are in bloom and

the daffodils are 8" tall and developing heads.

Hey, it's not me for once ~ and I'm OK with that.

We're getting our obligatory 2 - 3 inches a day, and that's perfect.

Good Luck to those getting dumped on - I know the feeling.

Nothing out of the ordinary down here in Wyoming county. And that said "ordinary" is too much. Especially since it hasn't stopped since.........oh mid November. I will say the banks from just plowing my driveway are as high as I have ever remembered seeing them in the 15+ years  I have lived in this house. We're running out of room to pile it.

Seems like just a few years ago I was saying something about the banks being over my head when I was kid. Then for years, not so much.

The past few years though… it's back to like it was when I was s kid.

J, if the guy in the truck with the plow on front is your uncle he is a saint.

Hard work moving the snow and he is providing a wonderful service to the parking lot owner.

My neighbor down the road has a plow and he clears our street when we have snow as the City of Richmond is s l o w when it comes to snow removal.

Enjoyed the video.

Just reminding you guys about Siberia having lots of snow and the effect it would have in the eastern US.

I don't want to be a "told you so" but "I told you so."

I sure am happy I watched that whole video, because for a minute there all I could think of was; "J's Uncle is Rachel Spotts?"  :eyebrows:

Back to reality, we had more snow in November (which all melted by early December) than we've had the rest of this winter.  All in all, not a bad winter in this neck of the woods.

We've been lucky so far this winter.  I think we have only had about 3" of snow, and that was spread out over a couple of months.

I think I heard we are in the 60" area over the last 2 weeks. More than all of last year's total. You can't see around any corners; have to have your car in the street to see what's coming, and hope nothing is; I look out the front window of my store and cannot see the road, or cars going by due to about a 7' snowbank in the yard.

Same here in Green Bay Lund. We have about 3" on the ground and about 12" so far this winter. Such a difference from last year when I ran out of places to put it about this time. My 2 stage snow blower couldn't blow it over the banks next to the driveway. I burned 8 gal. of gas in my blower last year, this year I don't think I've used a quart.

Sam, my uncle runs the restaurant, and does his own plowing. My family learned a long time ago that it's less money and more reliable to plow our own lots, rather than rely on a contracted service. Each restaurant has a truck with a plow. My 85 year old grandfather does the second restaurant, a few miles east. He's the man - still cooks six days a week, and plows in winter.

Yes it is, in fact I was watching the weather channel and the meterologist actually said it was because the patriots deflated all that air from the balls that it created snow clouds

I got the same amount as J and farmer pretty much. I spend every morning pushing my gf out of the drive way because she drives a tiny little civic with skinny tires.

It was funny the other day my 5 year old and I were in Walmart and in the fishing section and he asked for a new lure. I told him not now wait till closer to spring. His reply was that the ground hog said only 6 more days of winter. I corrected him to 6 weeks not days and with out skipping a beat he says " ugh stupid ground hog we should shoot it 6 weeks is way to long" I almost died.
