Lake Wanahoo is about 20 miles west of Omaha, just north of Wahoo is a nice place to go to. In 2015, we caught several Largemouth Bass, Bluegill, Crappie, and a few catfish. If you are a boater, the ramps are extra nice and well maintained and are three wide so you do not have to worry quite as much about people clogging the docks. If you fish from the shore, Chalco Hills in west Omaha has some decent hits. Again bass are fairly easy to pull up as are crappie. It is also very family friendly if you need to entertain the wife and kids while you fish. Good luck !
