I will be getting a new rod and reel in the next week or so. I currently use 2 7'M, 3 7'MH and 1 6'8"M spin. I know I need a good crank bait rod but im getting a really good deal from Bass Pro Shops on any combo of my choice here real soon. I don't want to waste it on a cranking stick that I could get myself for not that much money. I want to use my upcoming discount on something a bit more expensive so that I get the best bang for my buck. I fish tournaments here in Las Vegas with a local club and im just not sure what I should get next. I have my 3 7'MH rods that I use all the time, 2 of witch I use for jigs and creatures and one for spinnerbaits/chaterbaits. I have 2 7'M rods I use for crankbaits/jerkbaits and topwater biats like poppers and spooks. And last I have my 6'8"MEF spinning for my drop shot rod. I cant seem to make up my mind on what I should get next. Any advice and or information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks all.

Not sure what your budget is, but the new Avid X by St Croix looks mighty nice. Id get the MH crankin version! Not sure if your BPS has them in stock yet, my local one doesnt. Retail is 200 i believe. If thats too high of a price let me know what you want to spend.

1.  Anything Loomis.

2.  BPS Cranking Stick.

Best of both ends of the spectrum.

Ironic, I have a pile of Loomis rods, and a BPS Cranking Stick.

I have a wide assortment of rods also, but just picked up a 7'6" Heavy/Fast for an addition to my arsenal. I fish a lot of heavy cover so was looking for something a little beefier than my MH 7'.
