SFL BassHunter Posted February 9, 2015 Posted February 9, 2015 After almost a month of missing hooksets, losing fish and then 2 weeks without 1 bite, I finally found some bass. Albeit they are small but YAY! Quote
Super User SirSnookalot Posted February 9, 2015 Super User Posted February 9, 2015 Good for you. Yesterday was the worst day I can remember, including the summer. Caught only 1 at daybreak at a golf course pond, it was chasing bait maybe 15-16". Not strike the rest of the day. Went to the same places I've been fishing for the last few months, feast to famine, 20"+ fish daily to lucky to catch one 8". I hate February, this happens every year. Quote
Super User Sam Posted February 9, 2015 Super User Posted February 9, 2015 About time!!!!!! Congrats. Keep building on it and sooner or later you will have a new personal best. Quote
Super User Dwight Hottle Posted February 9, 2015 Super User Posted February 9, 2015 Your headed in the right direction. Keep after them. Quote
WestonFLBassFishing Posted February 9, 2015 Posted February 9, 2015 Fell in a similar slump last week but now small bass are hitting the baby bass fluke like a freight train. Quote

Funny, Jan through March are the hottest months here and we are just 3 hrs. apart. Bass are bedding, aggressive and fat this time of year. We are even having good days right after a front comes through this last month. Quote
Super User SirSnookalot Posted February 10, 2015 Super User Posted February 10, 2015 I'm coming to your side of the state, I want to catch reds anyway, lol. I saw beds yesterday, tilapia beds not bass. Went to the inlet and only only 1 barracuda follower, no strike and no other fish around. Bass fished in the PM had 1 strike (big fish too) and lost it on the first jump. I went orchid shopping with my wife. Quote
