Super User FishTank Posted February 9, 2015 Super User Posted February 9, 2015 Dean Smith was always regarded as a great coach and a gentleman . He will be missed. Quote
Super User F14A-B Posted February 9, 2015 Super User Posted February 9, 2015 Yes he was quite a man as well as a coach.. I use to hate watching his clock killing 4 corner offense though... Quote
Super User Sam Posted February 9, 2015 Super User Posted February 9, 2015 Yes, he was a true gentleman but a very competitive college basketball coach. He lead the ACC into the basketball forefront with other schools and conferences trying to emulate him and his results. It is always sad to see such a smart and vibrant individual fall to that horrible disease. At least he is at peace and the world is a better place because of Dean Smith. Quote
Super User Darren. Posted February 9, 2015 Super User Posted February 9, 2015 A legend, who coached future legends. RIP, coach. Quote
Super User buzzed bait Posted February 9, 2015 Super User Posted February 9, 2015 Sad day for sure. No coach will fill his shoes. He coached that golden era that had me absolutely hooked on the heels. Quote
