Super User Darren. Posted February 8, 2015 Super User Posted February 8, 2015 Nice reel, impressive spool time. Got ABEC 7's from HawgTech on my two Chronarch 50e reels. Love 'em! 1 Quote
urban.angler Posted February 8, 2015 Author Posted February 8, 2015 Thanks! I haven't got a chance to fish w/it yet (all water has been frozen over in my neck of the woods for weeks), but I can't wait to see how much my casting distance improves with lighter lures, with these bearings. (I'm no future teller but I have a feeling I'll be more than satisfied). Quote

(I'm no future teller but I have a feeling I'll be more than satisfied). Made a huge difference for me with lighter lures. I can throw weightless, wacky rigged Zoom Tiny Flukes on my 50e/6'6"ML Carbonlite combo. Not very far, granted, but I can cast 'em. I can pinpoint Zoom Finesse worms 30+ feet. So I am *very* happy with the bearing upgrades. Quote
flipin4bass Posted February 8, 2015 Posted February 8, 2015 I replaced the bearings in my Calais reels with Boca Orange Seal three years ago...made a noticeable difference in smoothness and casting distance. Quote
Super User FishTank Posted February 8, 2015 Super User Posted February 8, 2015 Very cool. I have a pair on the way for my Shimano Core. The originals were good but after 7 years they have started to slow down. I hope that they make an improvement. Quote
