As the title says what's your favorite lure to use even if your not catching any thing on it ?

Mine has to be a strike king red eye shad.

I fell in love with casting & retrieving baits a long time ago.

So most any bait I can heavy out there and crank back to the boat makes me smile.

Of course I certainly do like to get bit too so I'll do what I have to.

But if I'm chunking & winding AND catching Bass - it's a very good day.

Frogs are generally entertaining if the bite is slow. They cast far and give you something to watch above the surface and dont really snag up.

For a year round lure it would be a jig.

I like the jig as well. Spinnerbaits are a close second because I like the way bass hit them.

Last year, my favorite lure was a half ounce home-made jika rig with a brush hog.  Fishing a lake I've fished for 9 years, targeting edges of deep weed lines in 12 to 19 feet of water, a couple of different days it was like I was on an untapped population of fish.    I got bit every 5 or 6 casts all day long.

When I first got my boat (2002) the hot ticket was the wacky rigged senko, drifted down the trunks of main lake trees in15 to 25 feet of water.   Strikes  generally happened 7 to 9 feet down.   At the time, I was unskilled at any kind of fishing  that didn't involve beating the bank, and that opened my eyes and my imagination as to what was available off the bank.

Going further back, I remember the first spring after I learned to use a bait caster, and what fun it was to run a spinnerbait past a stump or pull it over a lay down and let it drop.  The  3/8 oz okiebug short arm spinner bait with a brown pork frog trailer was a great bait that spring.  I was a bush hippie meat fisherman then and that bait caught me literally hundreds of fish.

If I wanted to name my favorite way to fish, it would be a Texas rigged soft plastic. If I had to be really honest about how I catch the bulk of my fish it would a wackey rigged senko.

Frog. Skips well. Fun to walk. You can throw it anywhere without getting hung up.

ya that's deffenetly a close second for me!

Jigs. I always feel like I'm about to get a bite when I have a jig rod in my hands.

Favorite lure, there isn't even a close second, Storm chug a bug.  If I'm fishing an area with heavier vegetation it's a weedless fluke, I'm fishing on top and walk it.

What I may catch the most fish on is an entirely different topic.

My favorite lure hands down is a spinnerbait!!! A close second is a jerkbait and I like both floating and suspending baits equally, I believe the floating minnow is an under utilized bait in warm water.

My favorite lure to use is whatever one the fish are biting while I'm fishing! If I had to pick my favorite way to catch them though, it'd have to be on a frog. Nothing like a big blow up to get your heart racing.

A popper. I love using them and being imaginative with the retrieve. Pop'R fishing is never boring to me.

Hmm. One that I don't catch a lot of fish on

anymore would be the Arbogast Jitterbug.

Next would be the SK Red Eye lipless crank.

For catching fish, Senkos and knock-offs.

Tubes...not the most exciting lure but I always feel I can get a bite.

Another vote for the buzzbait. Put the trolling motor on high and just go winging down the bank all day long, anticipating a blow-up at any moment :) Sadly, I don't think I did that even once last year...

I love too many...  A big wakebait, a swimbait, a frog, a spook, a spinnerbait bite on the bank, and a heavy flip bite, catching a big one on light line.  I could never decide!
