I am looking for 1/8-3/16 oz skirted jigs with plastics barbs with 4/0 or 5/0 hooks. I prefer 60 degree Gammies (light or heavy wire).  I have a few of M&N Tackle's left but will need some more. Pr

I have tried pouring these before but with a large hook and a small head I had problems. There was not much room for both the hook and base hole pin so the weedguards didn't want to stay in. The only way I could get it to work close was to use the 1/4oz cavity and pour straight solder which is alot less dense than lead.

If you heat the hook and cavity with a torch it might pour lead.  I have to do that with one spinnerbait mold.

Thanks guys,  I didn't think of the solder trick.

I have a silicone mold of a custom 1/8 oz but dislike pouring as I am not set up very well.  I am always looking for other options.

I have a couple 3/16oz jigs I made on a Gama 60 degree flippin hook with the fine cut silicone. They are buried somewhere in my basement because they didn't work for me too slow of a fall for my taste? This weekend I will try to find them and post some pics.

Here are the raw heads: Far left 4/0 Owner deep throat 3/16, next 4/0 Gama 594 (I think that is the model number?)

Munkin,

Where you able to get the fiber weedguard in any of those at all?

I beleive the heavy gammy is a 5941? That is the hook I prefer if I have a choice.

I don't think a 1/8 head is big enough for any fiberguard.  You can use a stainless steel leader like in the pic.  But I don't know of any other weed guard that will work.

This is the hook.

I was able to glue the weedguards in but some of them came out. Since I glue my weedguards in after powderpainting there is less room for a guard. The mold had to be modified just to accept the larger hooks. You maybe able to just pour them with the weedguard in place? I pour outside and right now there is a couple inches of snow on my pouring table so I cannot try it out.

I have number of M&N Tackle 1/32 oz, 1/16 oz and 1/8 jigs with Gammie hooks (probably 3/0).  Have fiber weed guards.  Most have no skirts.

If anyone is interested in them please e-mail me.

I just had GMAN make me a bunch of 1/8 and 3/16oz weedless flateye heads but they have 3/0 hooks.  Looks big enough to me, but you could ask him if he can do 4/0??
