No not the same thing, but you really only need 1 of the patterns. Keep it simple I prefer full black and full blue skirt strands. No need to have both IMO, you will end up using 1 more than the other either way. Instead of using different skirt colors change up the trailer color you are using. Or you could dip it in something like spike it or JJS Magic.

Everyone in Florida will tell you to use black and blue for everything, if someone died the shiner tank black and blue guys would buy them over the golden one's...I say buy the custom colors from Seibert Jigs so he can customize them for you. Everyone and I mean Everyone throws black and blue because it works, but I think fish get conditioned, so I like to do a bit of flash in it, or a fade, or just mix it up so it looks different than everyone else's lures.

Black and blue, Junebug and watermelon red...It is all I hear

Black skirt with about 20-30 blue strands

Sapphire Blue Trailer

Black Craw with blue metal flake & blue claws

Black skirt with red metal flake (Black Neon)

Black Neon Trailer

Buy a couple of what appeals to you & throw em...the bass will tell what they like.

In Missouri, I've found that black and blue is a good deep stained to muddy water color.  In waters with 3 or more feet of visibility, it has been my experience that other colors work better.

It really doesn't make a big difference.

Ready for a mind blower? Bass are colorblind to blue.  The have no blue receptors in their eyes making them biologically incapable seeing blue, yet black and blue jigs are a staple of bass fishing.  Bass see black and blue as black and grey jigs but good luck selling black and grey jigs to anglers.

I've heard conflicting stories on this one. Some scientist claim they don't some say they do? All I know is, black and blue works!

Take a look at Siebert Outdoors Storm Series "Roadwarrior".

The skirt is a blue silicone with black living rubber. I especially

like the Grid Iron head on this jig.

This. I always have a jig tied on and these two colors along with some version of green are about all I throw. I tie my own skirts and will incorporate some other "highlight" colors in with the skirts, but these three "base" colors produce the best for me.
