In the spring catalog from BPS,they have a tourney special baitcast combo,listed for $59.97.But on the website,it's listed at $79.99.The lady that I talked with said she can't let me have it for $59.97.She put me on hold,while she went and talked with someone,about it.Sorry she said,but I can't do anything about it.Hold on,i'll let you talk with Robert,maybe he can help you.So I explained the price difference with Robert.Again,sorry I can't change the price,it's an error in the catalog.Ok Robert I said,I can see that BPS,doesn't want to make a loyal customer happy.Robert  doesn't say a word for a minute,ok bill he says,I can do it at $59.97,plus $10 shipping,and $8. because the rod is over 6ft.Robert,i'm looking at the website,it says,Free Shipping over $50.So I got the combo for $59.97,plus the $8.I'm happy with the way that this got handled,and will continue shopping with BPS.

i will say that they have the best online customer service.  i have spoken with the chat people a few times and always had my issue resolved.  my only gripe with them is one you experienced which is an outrageous shipping policy.  they price themselves out of a lot of my purchases just because of the way they calculate shipping....  but they really do have phenomenal customer service.

I went in the store once and the lady explained that I let about $20 in rewards expire. I was like dang! Next thing I know she says don't worry, I fixed it and she was able to reinstate them. Saved me $20!

Why do the rewards points even expire?

 

To keep you buying more. No different than how some grocery stores do fuel rewards, expire every 30 days.

Ya, they service is very good.  Then again, as I think about it, I have had very good customer service just about every where I go and every site I deal with.  The only exception I can think of is Dick's Sporting Goods.  I have had a couple of aggravating experiences there.  To be fair I have also had good service there too.  Just sayin'.

Customer service is the way to build and maintain a business. There are just so many places, and sites, you can go today for the same stuff. Keep us happy, or we will be gone! Gone! Gone!

I've alwys liked BPS seems like they have a lot of people there willing to answer your questions and help you. Went there to return a reel and buy a new one this Saturday. Return was no hassle took about 5 min. There's a brand new Field and Stream just down the road from me, but the only have one person working the fishing section. I'll go there for quick stuff like hooks and weights but if I'm buying a new rod or reel I'll make the 30 min drive to BPS

Used to order from BPS, but due to their awful shipping policies and calculations I use TW exclusively now.

Though the store employees aren't always the most helpful, I have never had a bad experience with Bass Pro customer service (both in-store or their hotline).
