5 Dollar Fishing Game Posted February 2, 2015 Posted February 2, 2015 I used to subscribe to Bassmaster series DVD set. Got boring. Looked online at you tube and got tired of searching. Found a few at BPS but they were pretty old (unless I'm missing some). Where can I get good DVD's to watch especially in this slow winter where I fish less because of the season. I like learning based ones and also good tournament footage, tips, etc. Quote
IDUTBass Posted February 3, 2015 Posted February 3, 2015 I signed up for Major league fishing extended cast. It has tons of footage. I've been watching it while everything is frozen over here and I really like it. They have a couple free episodes you can watch if you want to check It out first. Quote
5 Dollar Fishing Game Posted February 3, 2015 Author Posted February 3, 2015 Cool. How do I do it? Quote

FloridaFishinFool Posted February 3, 2015 Posted February 3, 2015 ebay is loaded with bass fishing videos! Quote
Super User Choporoz Posted February 3, 2015 Super User Posted February 3, 2015 ebay is loaded with bass fishing videos! This looks to be quite true! Most range from $11 to $18 shipped...at least the ones that caught my eye. I would be interested in watching probably 5 or 6 of them, but I'm not going to shell out $60-$100 bucks for them. I'm just thinking out loud here....but what if 5 or 6 of us all agreed to buy one DVD. We could have a group 'pass'; create a list of us with addresses -----After watching, we'd all mail the one we bought to the next guy/gal on the list....maybe even include a favorite or local lure or something with some local flavor...maybe a handmade jig or some hot sauce or something...again....just thinking....but if there was enough interest, I'll help set it up. Here's a list of examples of titles that caught my eye on first glance: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Glen-Lau-Collection-of-Largemouth-Bass-3-DVD-set-fishing-videos-BigMouth-series-/231467396829?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item35e4882edd http://www.ebay.com/itm/Big-Bass-1-2-Punch-Dave-Mercer-Bass-Fishing-DVD-Video-/310928630854?pt=US_DVD_HD_DVD_Blu_ray&hash=item4864ca6446 http://www.ebay.com/itm/In-Fisherman-Jig-Time-Bassin-Bass-Fishing-DVD-Video-/310936783074?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item486546c8e2 http://www.ebay.com/itm/Crankbait-Strategies-Hardbait-Bass-Al-Lindners-Angling-Edge-Fishing-DVD-Video-/321481019505?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item4ad9c31071 http://www.ebay.com/itm/Largemouth-Bass-Bassology-Al-Lindners-Angling-Edge-Bass-Fishing-DVD-Video-/121318164152?pt=US_DVD_HD_DVD_Blu_ray&hash=item1c3f2046b8 http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-Bass-Pro-Kevin-VanDam-3-DVD-Video-Set-Fishing-Fish-KVD-/161581659858?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item259f0476d2 http://www.ebay.com/itm/In-Fisherman-Bass-in-the-Grass-Largemouth-Bass-Fishing-DVD-Video-/310936784481?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item486546ce61 Thoughts? 1 Quote
FloridaFishinFool Posted February 3, 2015 Posted February 3, 2015 I would not pay that much for a DVD. I enter only the word "bass" into the ebay search engine and only look for DVD's and you will get results for bass guitar and bass fishing, but if you type in "bass fishing" you will exclude a lot of DVD's. So to avoid missing any, only use the word bass in the search engine as it will hit on just about all of them. Next, arrange the results in price from lowest to highest. Then, click on 200 results per page view and scroll down through the results. I am buying the DVD's to my door for less than $5.00 most of the time. I just purchased a multi-DVD set with 3 hours of bass fishing to my door for $4.11. So with a little searching you can find the good deals. Here's one: Shaw Grigsby's fishing for bass in clearwater- to your door for less than $6.00. I just bought one and there were 10 copies available, so 9 are left: http://www.ebay.com/itm/221661742727?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT Quote
Super User senile1 Posted February 3, 2015 Super User Posted February 3, 2015 You mentioned that you were tired of searching YouTube in your original post. I'm not sure what types of fishing DVDs you are seeking but if you are looking for excellent instructional videos on just about everything you can think of, you should pull up BassResource's YouTube channel. I haven't seen all of his videos like some on this forum, but the ones I have seen were excellent. I have heard nothing but raves from the rest of the members here. And it won't cost you a dime. hoosierbass07 Posted February 3, 2015 Posted February 3, 2015 Last winter I went to Gander Mountain once a week and bought some of their In-Fisherman DVDs they had. Most were on sale for around $9.00 so I bought six or seven over a few weeks. I watch them over and over a few times a year. I picked up Mike Iaconnelli's Advanced Finesse Bass Strategies DVD from Gander Mountain and I have to see its one of my favorite DVDs. He uses a spinning reel through the whole thing and shows how he rigs his soft plastics. Quote

The other ones I would recommend are the KVD spinnerbait ones as they are great. Most of the videos you just watch someone fishing for two hours. Allen Quote
FloridaFishinFool Posted February 4, 2015 Posted February 4, 2015 John Fox "How, When, and Where to catch bass" and Denny Brauer's Flippin' Techniques which is still only available on VHS and is out of print is the best one I have seen. Quote
