0119 Posted February 3, 2015 Posted February 3, 2015 A remote control that disables airboats at 500 yards. Roger Amen..... last year on the Peace River was like fishing on the launch pad at Cape Kennedy 1 Quote
slimshad Posted February 3, 2015 Posted February 3, 2015 A true automatic shallow water anchor that a working man can afford.... You can get a 70" flat screen HD tv now for less than a bracket on these things. Baits wise, anyone ever thought about a "lure wrap"? Like a rattle trap wrap for instance. Start out with a chrome trap and if the water color or weather changes u just reach in and wrap it Red... 2 Quote

hatrix Posted February 3, 2015 Posted February 3, 2015 A lure retriever with a 100% success rate. Clam shell package on Hudds. A blade bait for shallow water (If spro could put a treble on the tail of their 2.5" shad that would do the job). I have always wondered that about the hudds Quote
Bass_Fanatic Posted February 3, 2015 Posted February 3, 2015 A bait with a micro camera in it that is connected to my depth finder. That way I can watch everything happening out there and see a fish swim up to take a bite! Quote
papajoe222 Posted February 3, 2015 Posted February 3, 2015 I'd love to see someone come out with a 'stupidity canceling' pill and make it mandatory that anyone operating any form of watercraft take it prior to launching. The other alternative would be an explosive device on jet skis that would detonate if the craft came within casting distance of my boat. It would totally ruin the jet ski and leave the operator unharmed. 3 Quote

Super User geo g Posted February 4, 2015 Super User Posted February 4, 2015 Oh how I want a air conditioner built into the front deck that blows cold air right up my shorts and cools of all the vitals, during those unbearable summers in Florida. It would not get any better then that!!!!!! 3 Quote
Super User senile1 Posted February 5, 2015 Super User Posted February 5, 2015 They should add an addendum to the Family and Medical Leave Act, renaming it the Family, Fishing, and Medical Leave Act. I need 6 weeks of paid fishing leave from work, in addition to my normal PTO. 3 Quote
Super User Choporoz Posted February 5, 2015 Super User Posted February 5, 2015 Crankbaits that swim back to my boat after i lose them... I've got one of those. A DT-6 in molting blue craw -- I've broken it off twice and it came back to me....once from the mouth of a rather large catfish that I couldn't land....that time it came back a ways down the shoreline and a good many minutes later....and once from some submerged timber...popped up well after I'd given up hope of seeing it again...not very often they come back after lodging in branches like that Quote
matuka Posted February 7, 2015 Posted February 7, 2015 I don't want anything really new, but have always wanted a fishing caddy, Much like a gillie in England. The caddy will be stationed in the back of the boat. If I bust off a jig, I could say, "how bout tying on a 3/4 football, green pumpkin and purple please, trim the weed guard a bit, and let's try it on the heavy Powell with 17 fluoro, I'll just munch on this sandwich and stare at the graph for awhile". Oh yeah, I want to hire one of the Tackle Tour models for my caddy. 6 Quote

hawgenvy Posted February 7, 2015 Posted February 7, 2015 1) Soft plastic baits that have a much firmer compound just at the head so it won't slide down from the hook eye -- for T-rigging or on a spring keep, or on a jig's trailer keep. This really sounds doable. 2) Also, in order to keep T-rigged plastic baits from sliding down the hook, there ought to be a tiny mechanical rivet gun that snaps a tiny plastic peg through the hook eye and plastic bait but is short enough to stay just inside the bait (or else protuberances would pick up green yuck). This could be easy too. 3) Develop a hook with a quick and easy (and light and cheap) way to detach or compress the hook barb to enable painless and injury free hook removal from fish or man (or angry girlfriend). This is not an easy one. 4) A good mechanism to hold my second rod when I'm bank fishing. Sounds feasible. 5) A holder to securely hold my iPhone on my head to make it a helmet cam. (There's probably something like that out there somewhere. Yes, I know, I know I'll look stupid wearing it. 6) And I really want one of those drone subs to see what's down there. I know those Florida summer bass are hiding somewhere! (Eventually my drone's going to drag a bait, too! - Ha! Of course by then they'll have a law against drone fishing.) Quote

RSM789 Posted February 8, 2015 Posted February 8, 2015 Only the florida guys will understand sweating 10 minutes after sunrise in the summer. I believe the Arizona guys feel your pain. We were in Phoenix in August because apparently my wife believes Southern California isn't hot enough that time of the year. It is a different type of heat, less thick, but when you are in the 110's, being a dry heat doesn't really make much of a difference. When the low for the day is in the 90's, the sweat just pours off you even before sunrise. Quote
FrogFreak Posted February 9, 2015 Posted February 9, 2015 I want an auto plug for my boat so I never have to worry about it again. I love the idea of industry standards for rods. I would like the fishing industry to put in FDA like standards so manufacturers can't just run around making silly claims about their lures. I want a shallow water anchor that works and costs around $300.00. Oh and a law that if you unpack all your crap at the boat ramp, your boat gets taken away. 1 Quote

Florida really isn't that hot humidity is ridiculous. Quote

Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted February 10, 2015 Global Moderator Posted February 10, 2015 Only the florida guys will understand sweating 10 minutes after sunrise in the summer. I sweat all night long night fishing in Kansas. We get the best of both worlds, sub zero temps in the winter, and triple digits with near 100% humidity in the summer time. Plenty of nights I'm out it never drops below 90 with so much humidity that everything in the boat is soaked by morning. 2 Quote
