Super User ChrisD46 Posted March 20, 2015 Super User Posted March 20, 2015 In the craw "sleeper" category : Christie (Jason) Craw by Yum ...Won't break the bank with good action and good basic color selection . Quote
Super User scaleface Posted March 20, 2015 Super User Posted March 20, 2015 I love fishing craws and never had a handsdown favorite . I already mentioned a couple but another one that worked has real well was the inexpensive Renegade Wal Mart brand . The Riverside Big Claw was another one. I still have several packs of them. Great lures . Quote
Bassaholic84 Posted March 20, 2015 Posted March 20, 2015 Strike kings rage and jackall cover craw for fishing under docks. If you rig the cover craw backwards they will slide up into cover and under docks really well Quote
Super User Catch and Grease Posted March 20, 2015 Super User Posted March 20, 2015 Rage craw is definitely my favorite. Quote
Super User ww2farmer Posted March 20, 2015 Super User Posted March 20, 2015 They are all good. My favorites (don't know if they are the best, and don't care.........they work for me) are the Havoc baits. #1 reason: Bang for the buck. $2.99/bag agrees with me on many levels #2 reason: They work as good as any #3 reason: They are available everywhere I go You'll find a Pit Boss rigged up in some fashion on my deck every day, all season long. Either as a stand alone bait for flipping/punching or pitching, or as a jig trailer, or on a shaky head, or a multitude of others ways. Next to a stick bait, it's probably the most versatile bait in my boat. I also like the craw fatty, slop craw, and rocket craw for various other niche applications. That ugly little, hunk of "do nothing" plastic slop craw has really..REALLY...saved the day for me many times. I like to K.I.S.S. on colors.............green pumpkin (sometimes with various colored flakes) and black/blue are all I need or use. Claws or appendages dyed in orange and/or chart. are an option I use often. But with the dyes...less is more IMHO....I don't go wild with it. Quote
looking4structure Posted March 20, 2015 Posted March 20, 2015 The only craws I fish are Rage Tail. The one you are asking about is the Baby Craw, but you need to try the Craw and Lobster, too! x2 Hands down the best craw I've ever fish. Geat color selection as well. http://www.ragetail.com/news/color-charts/rage-craw-color-selection/ Quote
Super User F14A-B Posted March 20, 2015 Super User Posted March 20, 2015 Chigger Craw, Rage Craw, Pit Boss, those are my choices.. I like the crazy legs version as well.. As a stand alone rig.. Quote
Super User everythingthatswims Posted March 20, 2015 Super User Posted March 20, 2015 Havoc Pit Boss Zoom Ultravibe Speed Craw Culprit Incredicraw I'll pass on the rage tails... $$$$$$$ 1 Quote
5fishlimit Posted March 20, 2015 Posted March 20, 2015 I use two craws. Rage Tail and PTL Craw d'oeuvre. Quote
Super User eyedabassman Posted March 20, 2015 Super User Posted March 20, 2015 The craw that i like the most is the Netbait Paca craws!!!!!!!!! Quote
primetime Posted March 21, 2015 Posted March 21, 2015 I like any craw that smells like coffee, and also like the colors and action of the Culprit Incredicraw, Zoom Ultravibe, Zman Floating craws, and one of my favorites for swimming on a weighted hook is the Yum Mighty bug which is not a popular bait but has always been a favorite of mine as it works well no matter how I throw it....In cold water I like the Zoom Critter craws and bass pro Flippin craws which are flat bottomed and look like the original salt craws by Gene Larew, but the small critter craws and guido bugs are good little finesse craws. Hard to beat the Rage line of baits for creatures and craws in my opinion just because of the size options, colors, and Coffee just smells good instead of Garlic or Anise etc. Quote
zeth Posted March 21, 2015 Posted March 21, 2015 like I said in your PM it's all about the Keitech. I use the crazy flapper a lot. I also don't use it nearly as much as I use a keitech swimbait on the back of my jig which is about 90% of the time. Quote
Super User bowhunter63 Posted March 21, 2015 Super User Posted March 21, 2015 Rage never lets me down,Awesome baits. The Rage rig is a killer for Smallies on the river Quote
Slefler Posted March 22, 2015 Posted March 22, 2015 On a TW binge I bought some Molix SV craw Magnums I just haven't gotten around to actually using them only because my Rage Tails are in the same bin. If I'm reaching for a craw I can't stop myself from grabbing the Rage Tails if I'm not using it as a jig trailer. Quote

BassmanDan Posted March 22, 2015 Posted March 22, 2015 Money craw Rage craw and I ordered some craws from Profound Outdoors but haven't gotten out yet this year. The UltraVibe speed craws are very popular around here also. Quote
trupp30 Posted March 22, 2015 Posted March 22, 2015 I like the Rage craws when I'm fishing a Rage rig. When I'm using a Texas rigged craw I go for a Zoom speed craw. I plan on trying Paca craws this year. Quote
RanndomUndead Posted March 22, 2015 Posted March 22, 2015 I know I'm probably in the minority, but I've never had the success with the Rage Tail craws. It was recommended to me to try Stankx Bait, I bought a few and they look awesome coming across the Ice LOL. My guess would be in your waters baitfish far outnumber any thing else from the sound of that Quote
Super User rippin-lips Posted March 23, 2015 Super User Posted March 23, 2015 Rage craw and rage lobster is what I throw 90% of the time. They just can't be beat imo. Next is the netbait paca craw in regular and baby. Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted March 23, 2015 Super User Posted March 23, 2015 Rage craw and rage lobster is what I throw 90% of the time. They just can't be beat imo. Try the Baby Craw, too, especially if you are targeting smalljaws! Quote
