Yum money craw or warrior baits has a version of it. The kick in these legs is unbeatable. Best jig trailer I have found

Ragetail baby craw and paca chunks for a bigger profile.

Huddle bugs

Look no further than the big 3. Those hudd bugs get crushed too.

Depends on what I am doing with it. Rage craw, paca craw, yum craw papi, sweet beaver, and pitboss all see regular action.

For me it would depend if I am texas rigging the craw, rage rigging it, or using it as a jig trailer. For baits with more weight, larger profile and a more subtle action I like SK rodents and RI beavers. For more action, more water movement and a little more kick a rage craw from small to big, paca craws, and the Megabass bat-n-fly all work well. There are dozens more variations and styles I have but those mentioned above are favorites.

As I was reading this, I was glancing through the 2015 Basspro shop catalog. ( ya, I was multi tasking, Had on Fox news too.) I would estimate that fully 1/3 of the plastics in that catalog are craw, jig trailer, creature bait spinoffs from the various bait companies. Wow, what a montage of shapes, appendages and colors. I can understand why a new or even fairly experienced bass fisherman would be awe struck by trying to figure out what to use. Can any one spell "BAIT MONKEY" I have 100 lbs of plastic. At least one should work.

I've posted on this subject in the past and my findings go against what most here experience. The Rage craw just doesn't get bit for me in the waters I fish. It does well as a jig trailer but as a T-Rigged bait it just doesn't work for me, I'm not sure why. I have no problem at all catching bass on a T-Rigged Zoom speed craw or a baby Paca craw. These are the two craw baits I fish the most by far, love both of them. I really enjoy other Rage products, the toad has worked excellent for me as well as the Menace grub, so I know Rage baits work in my area but I just can't get them on the craw. I've asked a few other local guys and they've found the same thing with regards to the craw and our lakes. This made me feel slightly better because I was starting to think there was something wrong with me, lol.

PowerTeam Lures Craw D'oeuvre is the best all around craw bait I have used in the last 5 years, and I have tried them all.  It excels as a stand alone bait and as a jig trailer.  FWIW, one color in particular was created specifically for your state but excels in other waters including here in VA - the Susky Slayer.

If you're looking for a beefier profile, the Texas Rig Jig is a nice one to consider.  You can texas rig it alone or put it on a skirted jig for a beefier profile.  They also have a couple other different profile craws to consider: the Conviction Craw and the Diesel Craw.  Lastly, they offer the Bully Grass Devil as a punch style craw.

Let me know if you want some more info.  I have an inside scoop ;)

Right now I'm using Yum Craws, because their baits are always in a bargain big at Walmart. Their Craw Papi, Craw Bug, and the Money Craw are what I'll be using this coming season. Most guys on here will steer you toward a Rage Craw, though.

Good reason. They flat out work! If you need finesse go with the baby. if fish are finicky, slow down. Action is a function of retrieve speed. If you want subtle, slow down. No reason not to use them.

It's overwhelming. I don't care what anyone says. Forums like this are a blessing.

Another vote for rage craws. I fish them as a trailer on my jig.  I have some huge bass on them when other trailers just wont produce. I have caught lunkers using them during the heat of the summer and when I am dodging icebergs in my boat. Rage craws catch fish.

Tried about all of the above mentioned craws and they all work--2 I did not see mentioned or I missed them is the Zoom Big and Little craw Tex rigged-have caught a lot of bass on them pitched into cover or under docks
