During the cabin fever months, I modify several baits and have about 6 of each to try out when the weather breaks. Some of my modifications have worked in the past, some have bombed.   So far I've come up with two modifications I'm going to make this season.  One is cutting off the bottom section (1/4 of the body and the tentacles) of some of my old ripped Fat Ika's that I throw in a bag during the season, and gluing it to the top of my *** Trick Stiks.  The other is a Fluke modification.  I'm going to cut up some red Tube baits and melt/glue it to a Fluke to form gills (see pic below).  Will the modifications be better... who knows and I'll never tell. ;)

I would love for you to mate the old Strike King 3x Zulu and the Zoom Fluke. I love the look and feel and action of the Zoom Fluke but I wish it would float like those old Zulus. A blood line poor or even lateral line pour might be interesting as well

Clear with a small amount of tiny black and silver glitter. I've been trying to get Zoom to make special run of that color for a few years now.

A vertical split tail that's a little larger.

These are two that are very possible.  Making them float or sink is too.  I was thinking of pouring some with no salt at all so they are very bouyant. then also Making some with real salty bellies and making them sink pretty good.

I bought a fluke mold and have a few ideas on how to improve it. If you guys could improve on the fluke what would you do?

Add salt so it actually sinks without adding a lead weight.
