The live blog is hilarious. It would appear some of those boys have never experienced 32º temps. Its like the end of the world. Heck, its 23º here in PA right now and that feels downright balmy compared to what it has been. If there was any soft water within 50 miles, I'd be fishing right now!

I never thought I'd hear KVD say: "I'm a fan of the sport"  (yah think)

That's what happens when you can't quality 25 times in a row

One thing's for sure, Kevin's going to be a dynamic anchorman.

Drove through today and the road conditions are good and dry.  It is a whopping 24 degrees out though.  The take off in the morning will be a chilly one!

They don't have any coverage on the days of the classic??

When is the live coverage and where?

About the only live coverage you're going to get is to follow the live blog on the bassmaster site.

Remember,

http://www.saucytavern.com/  8pm Saturday  Be there!

So far I have Whitwolf and Sam with their wives.  Anyone else?

Do you know if it will be aired anywhere else other than the booth? This video indicates it will be in the booth.

You'll be able to watch it online here: http://www.bassmaster.com/bassmaster-classic-live

Not entirely sure how it is going to work.  From what I read they want it to be similar to golf coverage, live shots of the anglers with the booth guys doing the "play-by-play".

My guess is there will be a lot more booth shots than there is in golf coverage.  Not much you can show with just 5 cameras on the water.  I'm sure there will be some technical problems as well, which people will complain about lol.

Just recd an email from a friend  at the classic. He said the water temp is about 36 deg.Air 19 deg

I would break out the float n fly[if legal] or hair jigs

Deep jerks

drop shots

slow dropping spinner baits, then slow roll

blades

How would you approach  such cold water.

I'm really interested to see who will dominate the first day. Seems like most of the fisherman are getting completely thrown by that freeze. Any think a strong pattern is gonna emerge before day two or three?

I'm also certainly nervous about my tie breaker weight now. Just hope Casey Ashley or Andy Montgomery finds a decent bite.

It's very nice - I just wish Z and Tommy S would shut up -

The constant chatter is unnecessary   . . .
