BassinNCstyle Posted January 30, 2015 Posted January 30, 2015 Looking for a worm/ jig rod. Is the rage rod worth the 100 dollars? Quote
ChrisWi Posted January 30, 2015 Posted January 30, 2015 I'd go for it, $100 is a good deal, that rod gets a lot of good reviews. Quote
cbass12 Posted January 30, 2015 Posted January 30, 2015 YES!!! That's a very good price for it. Which model are you looking at? I've got the 7'1" MH/F and MH/XF for my jig and worm rods and they serve me very well. Quote
fisherrw Posted January 30, 2015 Posted January 30, 2015 100 it's worth it I had one for a while. Quote
Super User flyfisher Posted January 30, 2015 Super User Posted January 30, 2015 Definitely worth it and even more so at that price. I picked up three of them 2 season ago when St. Croix had their buy 2 get one free deal going and they have been great rods and I haven't had any issues. Quote
rawjuice Posted January 30, 2015 Posted January 30, 2015 Lol, you think 100 is a good deal, Dicks sporting goods is selling them for 65! Quote
Super User F14A-B Posted January 30, 2015 Super User Posted January 30, 2015 My 7'11 Rage was $119.00 a couple years back, it is a very good rod @ that price, imo.. Quote
Super User Hi Salenity Posted January 30, 2015 Super User Posted January 30, 2015 Is that instore? Quote
Super User aavery2 Posted January 30, 2015 Super User Posted January 30, 2015 I have a Rage spinning rod that I like a lot. I think they are a good deal at 100. Quote

Super User Tywithay Posted January 30, 2015 Super User Posted January 30, 2015 $100 is about right, in my opinion. I thought they were a little tip heavy, probably due to the short skinny handles. I definitely recommend taking a reel to the store and seeing how they feel. The handles aren't the most comfortable for me, because they're so skinny and I don't care for the skeleton seat on them. rawjuice Posted January 30, 2015 Posted January 30, 2015 Where?!? I would drive 100 miles or more for that price. Syracuse, NY lol, Im surprised at myself that I did not buy it but there is 3 of them, all casting, 2 are 6'8"MXF and the 3rd is 6'10"MXF. They actually have more on another rack but they dont have the clearance price on them so im not sure if they are on clearance or not. If so, theres more options there. Quote
BassinNCstyle Posted January 30, 2015 Author Posted January 30, 2015 They have them discounted at dicks fit just over a hundred. I have a 20 dollar off coupon tha drops the cost into the 80's. One thing I was a little confused about when looking at different rods was the wormin rods with medium power. I thought MH was the thing for worms/plastics. Quote
