Super User Crestliner2008 Posted January 30, 2015 Super User Posted January 30, 2015 Where abouts are you located in Mass? Western, Central, or Eastern end of the State? Quote
Delaware Valley Tackle Posted January 30, 2015 Posted January 30, 2015 I can help you with all the service and upgrades and offer a 10% labor discount to members here. I would refer custom painting to Calfish. Painting and mechanics are best handled by respective experts imo. I'm in Central NY. shipping ona single reel should be around $6. Let me know if you have any questions. Quote
skie Posted February 21, 2015 Author Posted February 21, 2015 Has anyone ever had any reels done by Dark Side Reelz? Quote

tennsopher Posted February 21, 2015 Posted February 21, 2015 I recently sent a reel to Mike @ DVT.I wanted to upgrade a metanium I've had for quite a while. It came back supertuned with upgraded drag washers.I couldn't be happier. Thanks Mike,I will be sending more in the future! Quote
Josh Smith Posted February 21, 2015 Posted February 21, 2015 Mike at DVT is about the only person I'd trust to do my reels were I no longer willing or able to do them myself. I work in an industry that requires extensive knowledge and exacting tolerances, procedures, and hand-fitting, and through my talks with the man, I have confidence that he has the knowledge to think around any problem which might arise with any reel on the market. I also trust him to outsource any work that he cannot/will not do to the proper people. A mechanic is not a body repair man, and a gunsmith is not necessarily a gun refinisher. However, good mechanics know good body men and gunsmiths generally have excellent firearms refinishers on call. Likewise, I'd send a reel off to Mike with an itemized order form of what I want done, and I'd feel confident that it would come back to me in the exact way I wanted. Regards, Josh 1 Quote
Super User rippin-lips Posted February 21, 2015 Super User Posted February 21, 2015 Mike @ DVT doesn't offer painting services. www.threeltuningandcleaning.com Trey and Calfish have a thing setup between them. You send your reel to Trey and you'll receive it back painted and ready to fish. He's great to deal with and has good prices. Quote
