Where do you guys send your reels need cleaning? I have shimano chronarch that needs it but want to make sure it goes to someone who knows what they're

doing, it is my most expensive reel I have.

I have 3 reels (including a Chronarch CI+4) at his shop now and he is building a custom rod for me

I use Tommy from Bassman13 reel service.  Did a great job for me and only took about a week.  He is located in Ridgeway, VA.

I have had Mike clean and supertune several reels and had a rod built last year.

I have been VERY impressed with his work.

If you'd like to send your reel in to me be sure to include your screen name and I'll apply a 10% members discount making the cost of service $19.80 plus shipping.

My service is a complete stripping of the reel down to the bare frame. Cleaning and degreasing of all parts and followed by close visual inspection of each part before reassembly and lubrication. Every reel is bench tested for proper operation and wiped down for packing. Done properly, this process takes about 90 minutes, often more for extremely dirty / corroded reels (for which there may be a surcharge). Take into account overhead for supplies etc and you'll see that the service is a great value. Let me know if you have any questions. And thanks everyone for the kind words and support.

Mike has probably done 6 or more reels for me.  You will be pleased.  There are other reliable guys doing the same work if you hate the name Mike.  :teeth:

Sent Mike 10 of my reels that needed a good cleaning a year or 2 ago. They came back great and he is excellent to work with through the process. A highly recommend guy and for good reason.

Delaware Valley Tackle...... like everyone else said already!  I've sent Mike 6 baitcasters so far (more to come) and his work & recommendations have been 110% worth it....   A couple reels had bearing upgrades & others drag replacements.  All have had cleanings.  Can't go wrong with Mike's work.

Mike,

I have a few reels that need cleaned too, what is the turnaround time on say, 5 reels? Would be 2 revo sx, a lew's, and two okumas.

Turnaround changes daily and this the busy season. As of today, I'm booked about 3-4 weeks. It's first come first served, but if you have a trip or tx and need a deadline met I can usually schedule ahead and around something else.
