bassinbrady03 Posted January 29, 2015 Posted January 29, 2015 Hi I am looking for a new jig rod 6'8 to 7'0 that cost less than $120. I am looking for a sensitive and durable rod. I am not interested the Duckett Ghost or Denali Jadewood. Please give me info on any rod that fits what is stated above. Thanks Quote
Ozark_Basser Posted January 29, 2015 Posted January 29, 2015 I would recommend tfo's signature series. The tip is softer than most fast action rods if you are into that and its $100. Quote
Tyler j Posted January 29, 2015 Posted January 29, 2015 Go with the Ghost Ducketts are Quality or go custom get a good rod builder and design it the way u want it. Quote
Super User kickerfish1 Posted January 29, 2015 Super User Posted January 29, 2015 Willing to consider used or potential retail sales like a 15-25% at a later date or is this something you need now? Weight of jigs and cover conditions? For starters the *** *** jumps out at full retail. Used you coukd find a Kistler KLX close. I bought my used IMX 844 previous generation rod for $140. Phenix Recon is another rod that used can be had for $ range. Quote
EricDkk Posted January 29, 2015 Posted January 29, 2015 *** Black Cabela's ZX BPS new carbonlite Quote
Cgrinder Posted January 29, 2015 Posted January 29, 2015 Jig weights? I'd be looking at a *** or a Daiwa Tatula off Amazon. Quote
bassinbrady03 Posted January 29, 2015 Author Posted January 29, 2015 Thanks Guys really I need this rod by March. What about the st croix mojo bass Quote
Super User WIGuide Posted January 29, 2015 Super User Posted January 29, 2015 I like the Mojo's that I have even though I don't fish jigs much at all. They aren't the most sensitive rod on the market, but I feel they're sufficient to get the job done. Quote
Paulasaurus Posted January 29, 2015 Posted January 29, 2015 I would recommend an *** as well. I've really liked the ones I've used and they certainly fish above their price point. I recently got a Cabelas ZX Bass Rod that is the Jig and Worm 7'2" model and am contemplating swapping it out for another *** being that the max lure weight is only 5/8 oz. but other than that it's a great feeling Rod and when they're on sale certainly worth a look. robster80 Posted January 29, 2015 Posted January 29, 2015 ^ yea they are. i have the 7'3 frog rod in the ZX. love the winn grip handles Quote
ColdSVT Posted January 29, 2015 Posted January 29, 2015 In the under 130 range the *** is very hard to beat! And id throw the croix premier into that mix as well Quote
mjseverson24 Posted January 29, 2015 Posted January 29, 2015 Tatula for around 100 or the *** are two great rods, the falcon bucoo micro can be found near 100 as well which is one of my favorite rods, as well as the shimano compre... Mitch Quote
