Looking to try a new hook when fishing them this coming year.  Been using a 5/0 owner twistlock in the 3.5" frog but feel been missing way too many fish plus when run into and over pads it sometimes will run upside down and not right itself right away, .   Wonder what others were using with success.  prefer a single hook but may get swayed to a double..  Maybe a weighted hook?  The new owner double hooks look interesting but havent seen any feedback on them.

Stanley Double Take hooks. 4/0 for the 3 1/2 inch Ribbit Frogs and 4 inch Hot Feet Ribbit frogs, 5/0 for the 4.5 inch Bull Ribbit Frogs. Weighted and un-weighted.

7' medium or medium heavy baitcast rod with 50lb Power Pro braid. Vary your retrieve, you don't have to always burn them in. I start as slow as possible and speed up my retrieve until I find what the fish want.

instead of trying to reinvent things i guess i should just get the hooks designed for it ...lol   I like the ribbits action best of frogs i've tinkered with plus there durable but i'm thinking cause of the dense plastic they are made of it gets in way of hook set with single hook ive been using.....Thanks.

Yup. The double takes are good hooks.
