PP Original.  No need for the fancy/shmancy super slick.

Ive used 10 or so and every one made by a known brand is "close enough" in my experience. Just pick the right diameter for the job and spray with line conditioner to retain color.

SX1.  Such a joy to fish in every way.  I use it as low as 10# in baitcasting reels without problems.  No coatings to wear off, stays green, super tight/strong weave and while not quite as supple as PP I like it better.  Seems to fray much less in my experience and I always tie with double palomar.

Personal favorite, Daiwa Samurai.

I started with PP and never found a reason to change. I bought a spool of Sufix 5-6 years ago and it's still on my work bench. I've been that happy with PP. I guess I'm just too old to mess with success.

I've use a few different braids trying to find that magic line. I always come back to power pro, price and availablity I guess are my main reasons.

I've been using Spiderwire Stealh for a few years and have had great success with it. Never once had the line break on me and have always used 20lb or 30lb. going to give 50lb a try this season. Plus it's reasonably priced compared to some other brands.

Gotta admit though, always tempted to give Powerpro a try.

I use original power pro because it is the only braid in a high vis color I can find locally. I would like to try 832, but even my local BPS doesn't have it in high-vis colors.

I used to use power pro, I liked it.

Tried FX2 and it was super loud, thought it was a bit weird.

Have Suffix Performance Braid on my Muskie rod.

SX1 is on my finesse rod, mainly just bc it's the only yellow one out there.

Kanzen is on my topwater and buzzbait rods, good stuff.

Started out with spiderwire when I was a kid. Now I have grown to like suffix 832 and purchased a spool of seaguar smackdown but haven't had a chance to really try it out.
