basspro48 Posted January 28, 2008 Posted January 28, 2008 decided to sit down and whip up a few more for the river. They're all 1/4oz except for the top right one, and the bottom 2 are my world famous pamunkey river special close-up Quote
Super User Munkin Posted January 28, 2008 Super User Posted January 28, 2008 Are those the "Jakobs heads" that I see for sale? I just use black, light and dark brown for jigs anymore. Allen Quote
basspro48 Posted January 28, 2008 Author Posted January 28, 2008 Yup, they are awesome 'heads. And usually stick to the basic black, blues, browns, and greens but that PB&J is deadly around here Quote
Super User Sam Posted January 28, 2008 Super User Posted January 28, 2008 BP48, They look great. Do you pait the jig heads to remove the bright silver color? Are the Pamunkey jigs creamy or extra crunchy? (Sorry, could not help myself) Quote
basspro48 Posted January 28, 2008 Author Posted January 28, 2008 No I never have tried painting the heads, probably ought to give it a shot though. And the Pamunkey jigs are extra creamy, cuz ya see through my years of research I have found that fish in the river this time of year prefer a smooth snack. But as soon as that water hits 60, they tear up the crunchy ones Quote
Super User Tin Posted January 30, 2008 Super User Posted January 30, 2008 I'm taking notes, very nice looking jigs. Quote
