Super User everythingthatswims Posted January 26, 2015 Super User Posted January 26, 2015 Trying to pick up the slack from a rough deer season...Plenty of jerky material to work with now Edit: My dog does have a full tail, he was just wagging it 1 Quote

I love goose, we make jerky, grill some, and have even made country friend steak with the younger birds before. We brine the breasts for a couple days in a salt/brown sugar brine, then marinate it before putting it on the grill wrapped in bacon, stuffed with peppers and onions. Just as good as backstrap. Quote

I'll give that a shot. Sounds good and similar to my favorite duck recipe Quote
Super User Ratherbfishing Posted January 27, 2015 Super User Posted January 27, 2015 You can come over to all our retention ponds if you like. I can hardly stand the dirty buggers. Candada geese make much better tourists than they do permanent residents. Quote
Delaware Valley Tackle Posted February 4, 2015 Posted February 4, 2015 We have parks and ball fields that are almost unusable because of these things. The season should be open for 11 months a year as far as I'm concerned. Quote

Super User everythingthatswims Posted February 12, 2015 Author Super User Posted February 12, 2015 It is a short 2 week season in September I guess that's not really In summer. Gotcha, I love the september season! Dumb birds that decoy to anything, young birds that taste like a duck, and warm weather! Season here ends this coming weekend...Having to hunt flowing water because everything else will be frozen! Quote
