Sherlock 60 Posted January 24, 2015 Posted January 24, 2015 Anybody else tried these? The XL refers to the extra long shank section before the bend. I used the 3/0 size last year for 5" weightless Senkos and was very pleased. The longer shank section means the Senko stays on better and lasts longer. They pretty much replaced my Gammy EWG hooks. fisherrw Posted January 25, 2015 Posted January 25, 2015 Yes they are sharp good hooks for the money. Quote

Bank4Bass Posted January 25, 2015 Posted January 25, 2015 I fell in love with VMC hooks last season. All I will buy from now on, great hook with an even better price tag Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted January 25, 2015 Global Moderator Posted January 25, 2015 They're nice for fishing any kind of worm, especially bigger worms. Quote
Super User ww2farmer Posted January 25, 2015 Super User Posted January 25, 2015 I liked the hooks your specifically asking about for wobble head jig work. Paired with a Mustad fastach head. My number one smallmouth producing rigging method of 2014. Quote
Sherlock 60 Posted January 25, 2015 Author Posted January 25, 2015 Additionally, there are 13 hooks to a pack and I believe I paid $3.99. I'm not very price-conscious when it comes to hooks (although there is no way I can pay Trokar prices) so the extra value is a bonus. However, they are a bit hard to find in my neck of the woods.
