Hello everyone,

I wanted to ask if anyone is, or has been spybaiting?  I just got a Duo Realis Spinbait 80 and was wondering did bait monkey get me, or is it a viable tactic?  Also, they say this is a spinning technic, but the 80 weighs 3/8oz. putting it in the casting spectrum or me.

Any advice, stories, or help is greatly appreciated

It is a warm water jerkbait.

Woody, what you and Mandy need to do is to go to your secret pond and fish the bait.

Post pics of what Mandy catches.

I just picked up a couple, too. Anyone have experience in 3'-4' water clarity?

I can attest to the success of the Duo Realis Spin Bait 80. Bought it out of curiosity and it turned out to be my best new bait of the 2014 season. Presentation is critical, however. you must be a patient fisherman. This technique is not for the run-and-gunner. If you use the search feature on this forum and Google "Duo Realis Spin Bait 80" you will find enough information to keep you busy for quite a while.

It is easy to cast even with casting gear but you want the lighter lines. Heavier line will dampen or maybe negate the subtle rocking motion it does. I have only fished them a little but they for sure catch fish. I was throwing it on 20# braid with and w/o a leader. The hooks are super sharp but very thin and bend out very easy.

Yep, that's what I've been fishing it in with success.

So excited. The bait monkey landed me a few of these. Just have to wait for the thaw to use them.

That's great!  After doing some research this technique sounds like it fit me to a T.

I was just a little concerned about water clarity because everything I read talks about

"clear" water. That says Table Rock, Beaver and Bull Shoals to me. We'll see how

this plays out on the Tennessee reservoirs.
