yakbasser3 Posted January 24, 2015 Posted January 24, 2015 I'm going to be fishing a kayak club bass tournament on Cross Creek Lake in PA in early April. I've never been to this body of water and I will not have a opportunity to pre fish. I found very little info online except a map outline. Does anyone have any info they would be willing to share? Being early April I would assume the fish will be pre spawn. Any info as far as depths, structure, and areas to focus on would be greatly appreciated. Being in a kayak takes away the option of exploring the whole lake to see what I can find. Quote
seawitch Posted February 3, 2015 Posted February 3, 2015 I have never been there because they have a 10 hp boat restriction on the whole lake and my boat is well above that. But if I were you and if you had access to one, I would go around in a fish finder there when everthing melts and see if I could find any good structure before its time for you to fish there Quote
seawitch Posted February 3, 2015 Posted February 3, 2015 I think there's a dam there? If there is I'd try there maybe Quote
halochef Posted March 9, 2015 Posted March 9, 2015 cross creek does have a dam. the main ramp(i think there is only one) the 2nd. cove to the right heading towards the dam, we have caught fish there. a fellow i knew, fished this lake all the time and did both shore lines before the bend towards the dam.its been a while since i've been on the lake so it might have changed. Dogmatic Posted March 10, 2015 Posted March 10, 2015 Check out PAFBC, they've placed some structure in the lake, but if you look at Google Earth, there's 4 boats on the lake, 2 of them are down by the dam(time of year is a guess though). Quote
Super User fishballer06 Posted April 10, 2015 Super User Posted April 10, 2015 Hate to bring up an old thread, but I was at Cross Creek last weekend and from the looks of it, the kayak tournament was going on. How did you do? What was the winning weight? Quote
yakbasser3 Posted April 10, 2015 Author Posted April 10, 2015 I ended up not being able to make it. From what I heard it wasn't very good at all. I'm going to try to head up there sometime this weekend. Any tips or pointers you would be willing to share? Quote
