I'll be picking up a new 9mm in the next couple months to replace a ruger p95. I had my mind set on a M&P9c to match my shield thinking I could carry that too but when I think about it, the shield carries so well I probably wouldn't carry the 9c at all.

The p95 was the house/range gun so ultimately that's what I want. I'm not picky on Striker Vs hammer but I do like a nice SA trigger.

Right now I'm torn between the m&p line, cz p 07 and the sig 2022. I'm very open to other options and would appreciate some suggestions and opinions. I would like the price to stay around $400-450.

I picked up that CZ p 07 Duty last year.

Love it.

Best pistol nobody knows about.

I like the springfield xds 3.3 in.  It was either that or the m&p shield, just liked the xds better. The new smaller version of the xds looks pretty cool.

I have always been a .45acp guy, but carrying full sized 1911's......or any 1911 for that matter, has gotten old. I still like to shoot them...........where is this going you may ask? Well, a year ago if you would have asked me, I would have been old typical .45/1911 guy ...........big bullets, steel, blah blah blah.................That is until I started shopping for a 9mm, it WAS going to be a 1911 in 9mm...........was and is are very different, I bought a Glock 19, and couldn't be happier.

I own a Sig sp2022, I often refer to it as the poor man's Sig 226.  It has a very similar size and feel to it, but is not the gun the 226 is, nor should it be at half the cost.      It operates flawlessly, I just don't see it being an everyday carry gun with so many new smaller framed 9MM pistols available.   I own and like very much the XDS single stack .45, the draw back is obviously the number of rounds you can carry even with the extended mag, which I feel is a must for people with larger hands.   I mention this pistol because it is also available in a 9MM.

If I was going to go with a Sig in 9MM for CC, I would take a look at the 938.

I'm really considering the full size m&p but the triggers vary from nice to OK to terrible on the ones I've held. Apex parts are there but I feel I shouldn't have to improve on a brand new pistol.

I've held but not fired sigs and no one in area seems to have the p07 in Stock.

I've also thought about glock 26/19/17 but meh, they don't really do it for me.

I already have my shield as a cc, this would strictly be a house/range gun and has to be something my wife can handle - she couldn't grip the p95 well enough and had constant fte's.

Go to a dealer and handle their stock of M&Ps. Dry firing won't give you a full representation but it will be about as close as you can get without making a "new" gun a "used" one.

IMO, the scratchiness of the trigger does smooth out with use. My 45 was like that at first.

Welllllll

I'm going with the M&P9c mainly because I can carry it and use the full size mags at home or as a spare. Also the price is great too.

Expect pictures within the next month or so.

I really want a shield in 9mm. Waiting to get my tax refund and probably will pick one up. I've found them as low as $399 but hoping can find one a little cheaper now.

If you know someone with an FFL that won't charge you an arm and a leg to receive it, there ya go.

I have been carrying a Glock 19 for years! It is light, thin, 15 + 1 and IMHO, the AK of pistols. All Glocks are the AK's of pistols but the 19 is perfect in every way.

For me to carry a 45 or 9mm is to big. If I holstered it on my hip then yes they have good punch and hold plenty of rounds. But inside my jacket or in my pocket it's just to much gun. I like my Sig 380 for every day carry. At home and work I have 38 specials. I figure if they are wearing a vest it won't matter.

Iwb at the 3:30 position in an on your 6 designs kydex holster or in a standard remora holster when making a quick trip to the store.

I CAN pocket carry in some pants and shorts but it sticks out like a sore thumb and drawing is terribly slow for me.
