Joedodge Posted January 22, 2015 Posted January 22, 2015 So in my box in my back I the hooks, sinkers and lures and such rattle and shake as I walk the nature preserve and ponds. Does this drive anyone else insane or have a decent solution. I may look for lil bags Quote
tbone1993 Posted January 22, 2015 Posted January 22, 2015 Mine does but I solved the problem by using a smaller box. Also you can throw terminal tackle in old bait baits and they wont clang around as much. If all else fails skull candy headphones cost $10. Quote
Joedodge Posted January 22, 2015 Author Posted January 22, 2015 Haha well said didn't think of that option Quote
Super User FishTank Posted January 23, 2015 Super User Posted January 23, 2015 There so much junk in mine it doesn't rattle anymore. All except for the goat bell. It annoys everybody..... Quote
Joedodge Posted January 23, 2015 Author Posted January 23, 2015 Haha that's too funny. Thanks for the replys everyone Quote
Matthew2000 Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 Line your boxes with shelf liner it quotes them quite a bit. 1 Quote
Super User HoosierHawgs Posted January 23, 2015 Super User Posted January 23, 2015 The individual Plano boxes shake, but the bag muffles em pretty good. Are you using a hard or soft box? Quote
Joedodge Posted January 23, 2015 Author Posted January 23, 2015 Plano hard boxes. I mean Itsnot terrible just something I noticed lol Quote

mrgimpy Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 Got to your local dollar store, Walmart, Kmart where ever and buy some of the non-slip backing for rugs. It's thin and made of rubber. Good stuff. Quote

Does this drive anyone else insane or have a decent solution. I may look for lil bags Use ear plugs or MP3 player with nice head phones Just kidding. I use some soft foam (used in packaging) or Styro foam. Cut them out to fit the plano box sections. I stick the hooks on the styro foam and the soft foam to prevent the other stuff rattlin'. Quote
Brnnoser6983 Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 I fixed the problem with hooks bouncing around and jumping slots. There is a foam padding that people will sometimes use in drawers to prevent things sliding around. Or even under a microwave.. (anyways I will try to find a pic.), but that stuff glued to the inside top of the box.... perfect! I have never had a hook move slots and the rattle is much quieter. Quote
Super User Sam Posted January 26, 2015 Super User Posted January 26, 2015 No. It reminds me that I have not lost the pack. That is a good thing. Of course, you could parallel the sound with that of a crank bait and a bass with a bear. Quote
Brnnoser6983 Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 Below is what I was talking about with the padding. It doesn't 100% block out rattle but helps. Quote
Jtrout Posted January 27, 2015 Posted January 27, 2015 Haha yeah its annoying sometimes I wonder if the fish know what that sound means and if it spooks them Quote
