Saw this on Mike Ike's page. He said in the comments it will be showcased at ICAST and will be available in July. Pretty slick looking, compared to most of Abu's spinners. Appears to have the rocket spool lip that a lot of the JDM Abu's have (basically the same as Shimano's spool).

It's got that weird carbon weave like the Ardents. Yuck

The Pflueger Patriarch has the same highlights. Guessing these likely use the same Mg frames. Definitely like the black a lot better than the white on the Patriarch.

No kidding, the white is hideous.

I don't like it as much as the previous model, but it still looks better than the Stradic FJ.

Don't these sell for $40 on that auction site from China?

Sure right, but if it was stamped Shimano we'd be on the 13th page praising it's perfection and happy at it's $459.00 price tag.

If someone has Ike's email address... let him know he's fishing that new reel upside down.

I have heard it makes all your fish feel like giants if you fish them in this manner....

carbon fiber may not be the most visually appealing, but it is lighter and stronger than most anything we've found on this planet.  perfect for fishing applications

I actually like the Stradic FJ, the gold highlights on the spool are nice.

You can get carbon w/out the weave. Also, magnesium is fairly light, albeit more expensive. The weave looks painted... All I'm saying

I like the looks of the reel, along with the specs.. Not sure on price or the mechanics of the brand exactly.. Also, almost ANY color other than white!

My Baitcast reels have after market carbon fiber handles w/ weave, I like it..

I don't mind em on the handles. Don't get me wrong, a little here and there looks cool, bit not a bunch. I guess it I better than gaudy white....

Aside from looking different, likely using different frame materials, and actually having QC; they're pretty similar in looks.

Might as well add a note that he left the sticker on his hat too.

More like the 40th page.

I love my Shimano spinning reels, but the posse does go overboard at times. I don't qualify as a Shimano posse member because I use Abu and BassPro PQ baitcasting reels.

I like the white rods and reels. ....

Stradic FJ looks good on a Veritas rod.
