According to Ike he had one of his teeth knocked out by his new jigs this week.

I saw the photo of the missing tooth.

Unless he was messing with us again he was lucky that the jig did not hit him in his eye.

I have had baits come close to nailing me when I set the hook hard and nothing was there.

Anyone have a close call or was nailed by their baits when on the water?

I got hit in the forehead by a 1/2oz bell sinker once when I was catfishing. The link broke at the top leader knot like it should, but that turned my line into a sling shot and the sinkers aim was true right at the dummy that was pulling the line straight towards him. It knocked me over backwards and put a big knot on my forehead.

Sure it's happened.  Most of the time for me it would be getting unsnagged and having the lure shoot right back at me.

My nickname of chatterface is based on taking a chatterbait to the face on the left side of my chin. After a lot of failed attempts to remove it they ended up cutting it out. Six stitches later it was out and I was left with a nice new scar.

Those jigs do some damage! I don't think it's real. Remember when his weight "hit the camera" in the TW Vlog? That was set up too. He just does it for the publicity, I guess.

Ok, we'll let you off the "hook".

My Oakleys saved me once. Was bank fishing around big rocks up about 4' from the water. Using a jig and caught one, trying to reach down and lip the bass the jig came loose. The jig took aim directly at my right eye. The impact knocked my glasses off and my hat. The lens had a little scratch but didnt break and I thankfully was not injured.

This just happened to me Sunday. I was only hit on the leg and a small cut.

Maybe he's been hanging out with Tiger

I was thinking more along the lines of Keith P.  or  Ish M.

I was fishing a hard bait of some kind that had three treble hooks on it ( don't know exactly what it was) for speckled trout with my uncle and I felt a hit and my bass fisherman kicked in and I set the hook to hard sending the bait flying at my face, somehow after it hit me in the forehead none of the hooks got me, I wasn't wearing sunglasses so it could have been very very bad...

Casting a 3/8 jig one time from the bank and I hung a weed behind me that I didn't see.  When I cast out the rod bent backward, and when I looked around the jig pulled free.  I had on a knit cap and a sweatshirt hood, and even through that I got a nice bump on the head.

I am going to watch his show tonight at 7 EST and find out if he really lost the tooth.

The photo he posted looked like it was real.

But knowing Ike who knows?

The pic I posted was from Facebook, someone asked if it was real and Ike said No.

X2 I was shaking a Trap out of tree. It came flying back at me. I was wearing sandles and it smacked me right in the foot! Ouch!!!

Haven't had a lure hit me yet. However, I have taken a number of heavily weighted streamers to the back of the head when I was learning to cast sinking lines. Kinda makes you learn real quick.

Hi, the show is next week.  I got the days mixed up.  You try to follow Ike and you will get mixed up, too.

I got a 1/2 oz flipping weight with a beaver on it, caught in some junk on the surface.  I was using 17lb FC and just like a rubberband, it snapped back at my like a rocket when it came loose.  The tungsten weight shattered my sunglasses but it luckily did not damage my eye.  All I had was a bruise and a scratch.

If Ike lost a tooth though, I think it would only look natural.
