brgbassmaster Posted January 22, 2015 Posted January 22, 2015 Finally go to do some fishing since i got stationed in arizona. Went down to the gila river. Was flipping black and blue jigs to lay downs getting them. Its been super warm here in phoenix the last week or so in the 80s I'm sure winter is over here now. They would only hit when i would find a lay down or tumble weed or stickup 20-30ft out from the bank in about 2-4ft of water nothing though in the real thick stuff near the bank even though it was same depth. And only on main river nothing in the back warmer coves. 1 Quote

brgbassmaster Posted January 24, 2015 Author Posted January 24, 2015 Good deal! But I have to ask......why red braid w/ no leader? Its actually red cajun mono. I know its cheap and all that but ive never broke a fish off of it and its the limpest line ive used besides braid of course. Alot of people hate on it but im definitely a believer. We were fishing lake fork and i broke off two fish flipping the trees down there. SO a guy with us told me to try the cajun line he had on another reel told me to unspool from his and use it on mine. Well i did. First fish i caught was my PB 8lbs that was in 2008 and ive used it since. Ive used if flipping to heavy cover brush, grass, docks and froggin to cranking 16ft down. Those smallies in my avatar were caught on it to in lake st clair. Love it. Thanks guys for the comments it was good to finally be able to get out. Quote
