As long as it is on a set schedule they get conditioned for it I think. There is videos from Mike Long showing huge bass waiting for the trout on stocking day. It's actually pretty cool watching them eat the stockers.

Well I catch my bass away from marinas but trout make their way around the lakes in time. Feeding areas are feeding areas and homes are homes. The fish everyone speaks of like that area/ spot already. Not just because trout are dumped. I haven't done better because they stock , but bass can get fatter.

In small parks and ponds thats another story the area is already small not many miles and miles of shore.

I cant remember where I saw it but there was a thread about a guy who I believe scuba dived with an underwater camera and took underwater pics of a trout stocking area a day or so before the stocking. The bass were staging around the dump sight and a lot of big bass at that. When the trout were released he got a lot of shots of bass chasing and eating the trout, and a big bass even eating a catfish. It was good stuff.

I say yes , I had a pet spotted bass in a aquarium  and that guy knew what day was feeding day and at what time . He would hang out at the right corner looking up the minute I walked into the room on his day waiting for me to open the lid .
