I have only used them twice for ice fishing, but I wear my Northface Chilkat boots.  In fact, I am going to wear them again in March for ice fishing!

Artic Sport by Muck Boots, by far the warmest, most comfortable, water proof boot I have had on my feet.

I wear my hiking boots ice fishing, a little less weight than my hunting boots and better traction. Timberland gore tex chocurras - lightweight and around $120 is a steal

I prefer to wear my house slippers... As I'm sitting in the recliner fishing the cherry out of my ice cold manhattan... Watching fishing on tv!

God didn't build me to sit on ice... Lol

When I did ice fish, I always wore the Sorel Pac boots with the felt liner. I also wore these boots for outdoor construction work during the winter. If you have a spare set of felt inserts and keep them dry, they are very warm.

I even used the felt inserts in oversized hip boots for duck hunting.
