I went to order my tournament pro and noticed the BB1 Pro is the same price.

Anyone have used both?

Input?

This will be a 7.1:1 ratio used for general purpose

Jigs, frogs, topwaters

BB1 Pro is centrifugal breaking... Tournament Pro is dual breaking.. Depends on what you prefer.

The BB1 Pro has a higher line capacity. The BB1 also has a 95mm handle for added leverage. It's geared a little more towards power techniques than the Tournament Pro. The Tournament Pro will throw lighter baits more efficiently. For the techniques you cited, I'd probably go with the BB1 Pro.

Exactly what Tywithay said. I own both, and agree 100%. I use my BB1Pro for braid, and is my topwater specialist.

It's just a dial on the side, very straight forward. As they've stated, BB1 is where it's at.

Same as jderry, I'm looking at both the Tournament Pro and BB 1 pro at the same price but I'm looking to bounce football jigs off the bottom, mainly 3/8 maybe 1/4. What do you guys think? Thanks!

For that weight it seems the TP would be a better choice.

I might wind up getting a TP in the future, we'll see how I like my BB1 Pro.

I've never used the bb1 pro, but for me, the tourney pro and super duty are where its at

I use my tournament pro for that application. I use my 5:4 bb1pro for crankbaits, it has a massive spool.

The tourney pro is super sweet for jigs 1/4-3/8 oz. If you're going to be throwing topwaters like frogs then I would get the BB1 Pro. I've thrown frogs on my Tourney Pro and it got the job done, but it could use some more cranking power.
