Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted January 20, 2015 Global Moderator Posted January 20, 2015 Hmm, I'm friends with a few guys from on here, but I don't spend any time looking at the people I may know option. Quote
Super User SirSnookalot Posted January 20, 2015 Super User Posted January 20, 2015 I check into Facebook daily to see what some of my friends and family are up to. I'm a member of a few groups from Detroit where I grew up that have a lot of participation, non "friends" but people I know pop up. I don't use my fishing screen name, other fishermen don't appear. Super User Raider Nation Fisher Posted January 22, 2015 Super User Posted January 22, 2015 . One must first acquire 1 friend to have connections to others...... That's the problem though. I only have one friend on there I care about talking to. The rest I really could care less about. Quote
Super User SirSnookalot Posted January 22, 2015 Super User Posted January 22, 2015 The major difference I see between Facebook and more specialized forums is wider range of options available on F/B. Not only does F/B cover the entire world with an almost uncountable number of topics, groups, etc but it can be quite localized as well. One case in point may be the Flea market here on BR, we see them on other fishing forums too, on F/B there is a group selling used gear right here in Palm Beach county. Another group I'm a member of are people from 1 small area of Detroit that live here in Florida, many of us are close in age, we have get togethers, F/B makes this possible. F/B can be as big or small as you want it to be. Quote
