hoosierbass07 Posted January 17, 2015 Posted January 17, 2015 Were can I find online hair jigs that are good for bass fishing? I keep reading on the In-Fisherman site about those Midwest Finesse guys using hair jigs and how great they are in the Midwest. I've looked and looked online and can't really find any nice hair jigs designed for bass fishing. I want to buy a few so I can try them out later this early spring. Can someone tell me who has them? And no, I don't want to make my own. I want to buy! lol. Thanks! 1 Quote
Super User A-Jay Posted January 17, 2015 Super User Posted January 17, 2015 TW has a decent assortment. I tie my own but the Spro Phat Fly looks pretty sweet. A-Jay Quote
Super User Senko lover Posted January 17, 2015 Super User Posted January 17, 2015 TW carries the Punisher Hair jigs, which are touted to be excellent. 1 Quote
Super User Team9nine Posted January 17, 2015 Super User Posted January 17, 2015 Several places. The punisher jigs mentioned are craft fur, which will work fine. Bass Pro has their Pro Series Smallmouth bucktail jigs - just pull the rubber strands off if you don't want them on there. Cabela's has Kalin hair/bucktail jigs. Eagle Claw also makes a bucktail jig. Then there are places who do custom jig ties like Andy's Custom Bass Lures. Google any of these - they all work. -T9 Quote
hoosierbass07 Posted January 17, 2015 Author Posted January 17, 2015 Thanks for the info. I checked out those Andy's Custom Bass Lures. Those hair jigs look nice. I seen some with bear hair, fox hair and more. I just might order five or six of those things. Quote
adam32 Posted January 17, 2015 Posted January 17, 2015 Ebay. A lot of jig makers sell them on there. Keep checking every week. Quote
hoosierbass07 Posted January 17, 2015 Author Posted January 17, 2015 Are bear hair jigs any good? That would be pretty cool to have a jig from bear hair. Quote
Super User SirSnookalot Posted January 18, 2015 Super User Posted January 18, 2015 Jigs catch all predatory fish PERIOD ! Hair jigs can be bought just about everywhere, I catch as many fish using a 15 cent crappie jig as I do a $5.00 bonefish flats jig (I use them for bass sometimes) or the ones I make myself. One jig I go out of my way to buy is BPS hot lips jigs, 3 pack for about 6 bucks, caught evething from bass to tarpon on them, this one is my mainstay. Quote
OntarioFishingGuy Posted January 18, 2015 Posted January 18, 2015 I tie my own out of marabou and bucktail, Quote
Lunker Huntin Posted January 18, 2015 Posted January 18, 2015 Check out supernatural bass jigs, the stuff he makes looks amazing. Little expensive but still top notch looking jigs Quote
