Siebert Outdoors Posted January 8, 2008 Posted January 8, 2008 That just looks like a regular rubber jig. I dont have a head design like that though. Closest thing I have is a poisen head. Quote
Super User Munkin Posted January 8, 2008 Super User Posted January 8, 2008 $5 each Now I know why I make my own. Allen Quote
Super User Gatorbassman Posted January 9, 2008 Super User Posted January 9, 2008 That's the jig that Davy Hite won the Elite Tournament on Clarks Hill with 2 years ago. It was a topwater bonanza and he walked away with it with this jig. Quote
Siebert Outdoors Posted January 9, 2008 Posted January 9, 2008 what makes a mop? is there just extra material up around the head? Quote
ernel Posted January 10, 2008 Author Posted January 10, 2008 It is a heavier rubber, and alot of it. Longer and thicker also. Quote
Super User Munkin Posted January 10, 2008 Super User Posted January 10, 2008 what makes a mop? is there just extra material up around the head? I saw Davy Hite on a interview and it is a jig with a living rubber skirt that is longer and twice as thick as a regular skirt. The jig in the pick is no where near as thick as the one Hite used. Siebert Outdoors Posted January 10, 2008 Posted January 10, 2008 It is a heavier rubber, and alot of it. Longer and thicker also. so its just double layered of the rubber. thats easy. Anyone know how many strands? Quote
dampeoples Posted January 10, 2008 Posted January 10, 2008 They make thicker rubber skirting, could be that stuff. Quote
Siebert Outdoors Posted January 10, 2008 Posted January 10, 2008 They make thicker rubber skirting, could be that stuff. I've never seen that. I've seen the standard and the fine cut. :-? Quote
dampeoples Posted January 10, 2008 Posted January 10, 2008 I've never seen it myself, but I do remember seeing it on the Living Rubber site, or asking about it once. It might be really thick strands, like 1/4", but if you buy enough, I'm sure they'll cut what you want, they may even sell it uncut, could use a tube tool to make your own, Quote
ernel Posted January 11, 2008 Author Posted January 11, 2008 I will try to find one at one of the local tackel stores. If any have them that is. They are hard to find. If I can find one, I can answer more of your questoins without making a guess. Quote
