Foggy overcast morning water temp 69* slight stain no current 5mph wind from the north. Was there on my own from sun up to sundown and the fish were tearing it up. Watermelon red plastics were the ticket, although I did catch em on spinner baits, texas rigged creature baits, senkos seemed to be the way to go. Finished the day with 16 fish two of them a 4lber and 3lb 11ozer. Also a bunch of two pounders. Still didn't see any beds but lots of fish in the canals.

Nice report! What did your 2 big fish bite? I hit up lake O yesterday. there were a ton of beds. saw some bucks guarding but no mama's on any of them. Saturated the area hoping for a fatty but nothing over 2lbs all day. Stick worms got me the most bites.

Thanks for the report.  I will be out there Sunday.  I love the place, so much water to fish.    If you get some current from those pumps, the fish can go nuts.

Pit boss, from the boat, but there are lots of opportunities to fish from the bank out there. The cabals all have levees that you can drive and fish. Just watch for the critters.

Yeah I went out there once on foot but i was already tired from a full day of fishing elsewhere, plus I was being harassed by some enormous bug that was extremely intrigued by me and would fly all around me the entire time I was there no matter where I went I had that sucker follow me. I also decided to call it a day after I came across a small gator that I spooked into the water.

One big one was on a wacky rigged senko the other on a biffle bug Texas rigged. Got almost all the other ones on senkos tight to the bank.

Hi,

I live in Davie and fish all canals!  If you ever need company fishing the Holy land, I would love to go with you.  Don't know it very well and would prefer fishing with someone, since it is pretty desolate out there!  Give me a shout some day and i'll meet you on 27 by the truck stop near Griffen and holiday Park!

Tight lines,

Ron Beck
