BIGGUNZ Posted January 15, 2015 Posted January 15, 2015 I'm curious why people are using them big foam knobs. Quote
Alpha Male Posted January 15, 2015 Posted January 15, 2015 are you talking about add ons or stock? because the ones on my revo's are the most comfortable reels ever. 1 Quote
Super User Jrob78 Posted January 15, 2015 Super User Posted January 15, 2015 Yep, makes for a great grip material. Quote
Super User aavery2 Posted January 15, 2015 Super User Posted January 15, 2015 Is this a trick question? Quote
bigturtle Posted January 15, 2015 Posted January 15, 2015 Cheaper, lighter and more durable than most cork. I personally prefer cork, because I hate EVA when its wet. Quote

TorqueConverter Posted January 16, 2015 Posted January 16, 2015 Cork can go jump off a bridge. Keep that grey rotting tree bark away from my rods. 2 Quote
bigturtle Posted January 16, 2015 Posted January 16, 2015 Your rods can also go jump off your hands if its wet with EVA. 2 Quote
TorqueConverter Posted January 16, 2015 Posted January 16, 2015 Your rods can also go jump off your hands if its wet with EVA. That black kitchen sponge material can go jump off a bridge too! The cheap stuff anyway. Good EVA is alright but that cork and rubber blended stuff is fantastic grip material. I'd like to see more manufactures use it. Quote
bigturtle Posted January 16, 2015 Posted January 16, 2015 Rubberized cork grips by fenwick? love that stuff 1 Quote
Sonik Posted January 16, 2015 Posted January 16, 2015 Winn grips are where it's at. Grippy when dry, tacky when wet, never squishy, and always soft. 1 Quote
Super User Tywithay Posted January 16, 2015 Super User Posted January 16, 2015 I like quality eva. Never found it to be slippery. 1 Quote
Super User gulfcaptain Posted January 16, 2015 Super User Posted January 16, 2015 It's light and comfortable. Next question please. Quote

Rubberized cork grips by fenwick? love that stuff TAC grips. I like it too but Im up in the air about an entire grip made from it like the aetos rods. Yep, makes for a great grip material. I love it as a reel knob but really prefer cork on the rod handle. Quote
Super User fishballer06 Posted January 16, 2015 Super User Posted January 16, 2015 Give me the Shimano rubber grips over anything else, any day of the week. 2 Quote

Super User Tywithay Posted January 16, 2015 Super User Posted January 16, 2015 When did we start talking about golf?!?Hammer rods uses winn grips on their fishing rods. You can also buy winn split or full handles for custom rods. Hawgtech also just released some Winn soft touch reel grips, which are very intriguing. 1 Quote
Hogsticker Posted January 16, 2015 Posted January 16, 2015 I don't care for the Winn grips. Heavy and sticky. I prefer a quality Eva rod grip. For reel handle knobs, Shimano septons are the best imo. Quote
