crankbank Posted January 15, 2015 Posted January 15, 2015 I'm probably going to pick up a few kistlers, klxs most likely maybe a helium Not sure if you get their emails but... http://www.kistlerrods.com/fishing-rod/kistler-promo/page251.html Quote
Mike2841 Posted January 15, 2015 Posted January 15, 2015 I know, but the time I went to check it out they were sold out of the one I wanted Quote
TourPT Posted January 15, 2015 Posted January 15, 2015 Not sure the model numbers yet but I will be purchasing two new Powell Max 3D rods this year. One for jerkbaits and another for med cranks/rattletraps. This should complete my switching over all my rods to Powell rods, but then again every time I think I have everything covered there is always one more my bass fishing addiction has to buy. LOL Quote
crankbank Posted January 15, 2015 Posted January 15, 2015 I know, but the time I went to check it out they were sold out of the one I wanted Had the same problem. Quote
Super User rippin-lips Posted January 15, 2015 Super User Posted January 15, 2015 I scored a champ 703 and champ dx 704 over the last couple months. Those are my 2015 rod buys. I caved in to the Dobyns peer pressure. 1 Quote
Super User WIGuide Posted January 15, 2015 Super User Posted January 15, 2015 I'm gonna be picking up another St. Croix LTB for pitching/flippin' and I'm going to try out the new Avid X as well. There may be one more rod too, but I'm not sure if I'll have the funds or not and also not sure what I'd buy for sure lol. Quote
Jon G Posted January 15, 2015 Posted January 15, 2015 Im really stuck between a DX744 or a Legend Xtreme 7MH or picking up my first Loomis Quote
robster80 Posted January 15, 2015 Author Posted January 15, 2015 gonna run to basspro tomorow and check out some stuff. hopefully theyll have an Avid X i can look at Quote
TorqueConverter Posted January 16, 2015 Posted January 16, 2015 I'll get one or two of the new Johnny Morris CarbonLites. Those rods are so light and balanced that they make a veritas feel like a tip heavy pig. Quote
Super User lmbfisherman Posted January 16, 2015 Super User Posted January 16, 2015 I'm contemplating on getting two more rods, but I'm trying to decide if I want to try my own "custom" route or grab a new Carbonlite rod or Duckett Ghost..or maybe I get all three. I am leaning more towards a Carbonlite (White one) or go custom. I have 5 reels without a mate. Quote
Super User gulfcaptain Posted January 16, 2015 Super User Posted January 16, 2015 Couple more Black Omens, the Black *** Crankenstein, maybe one of the Phinex glass crankbait rods, and possibly a custom frog rod. Quote
5fishlimit Posted January 16, 2015 Posted January 16, 2015 For me it's the Crucial rods I snagged at DSG for basically peanuts. Not the newest version, but new to me. Im also looking at the St. Croix LTB 6'10" ML/XF as a dedicated finesse worm rod, but it's far down the list as I have a need for some reels at the moment. 1 Quote
robster80 Posted January 16, 2015 Author Posted January 16, 2015 im lookin at those phenix glass rods as well. stumbled upon Cousins rods while looking at TW. they make a nice looking glass rod im looking at as well Quote
Bassfink86 Posted January 16, 2015 Posted January 16, 2015 I'm looking at possibly getting a Kistler, not sure which one, and possibly a custom built frog rod. Quote
PAGreg Posted January 27, 2015 Posted January 27, 2015 I got a deal on a 13 *** and now looking for a 13 *** crankenstein. Also picked up a veritas for skipping. 1 Quote

pennix5 Posted January 28, 2015 Posted January 28, 2015 I just picked up 4 berkley e motion rods Quote
Penguino Posted January 28, 2015 Posted January 28, 2015 I just picked up 4 berkley e motion rods How are they?? They look really nice. How do they compare to other rods in the price range like the veritas, vendetta etc.? Looks like they would make a good crankin stick. Quote
HookdUP Posted January 28, 2015 Posted January 28, 2015 I just got the new micro magic and I see the improvements ... But I think I'll try a white ice for a swimbait rod this summer Quote

fishingman88 Posted January 28, 2015 Posted January 28, 2015 Thinking about testing out some Phenix and *** rods. Been a faithful G. Loomis guy most of my life but after having fished a couple friends' Phenix rods I have to say I'm impressed. 1 Quote
travis23 Posted January 28, 2015 Posted January 28, 2015 I treated my self to a dobyns 703c and I just bought a 705cbmf. I plan to get 2 more before the end of March to start the season off The right way!! I'm pretty excited for this season. I have completely different setups. Quote
