Well instead of buying the spot remover skirted finesse jigs at $4 and $5 a pop. I'm thinking of just taking the Pro Heads ( w/ the screw) and tying a skirt inbetween the eye and the screw. Has anyone tried this? I figure since and skirt is cheap and the heads are about a buck a piece, why not. Save a lot of $$$$$. :-?

I'm thinking of just screwing the paca craw or beaver in and buring the hook into the bait, so I really dont need a weed guard. See any issues with it. If I'm using braid i would just upgrade to the magnum heads.

That is what I thought you were talking about.  Nope no issues.  There is a local guy here that makes a lure similiar to what you are talking about.  It will work, probably work better with a small skirt like a finesse skirt/spider style.

Post some pics after your done.

I'll be posting a bunch of stuff tonight and through the weekend that I've been working on.

I've experimented with the Title Shot jighead from www.jigfish.com  It works pretty good for me, but I'm going to start making both screw in jigs and ones with weedguards sometime around the end of the month.  I'll be posting pics for the GMAN stamp of approval.  Heck, I might actually send him a few to check out.  Never hurts to get someone with experience to check things out.  Whatdoya say GMAN?  Interested?  ;)

Yup, my buddy showed me some jigs he made with the Title-Shot heads so I had to go home and make some. Great for grass and swimming imo.

I swim all of my jigs a few inches off of the bottem.  Just my style, but it seems like hopping them around is a waste of time most of the time.  That's why I LOVE the title shots for my hula grubs and other creature baits when a skirted jig isn't cutting it.
