conorsixtakc Posted February 10, 2015 Posted February 10, 2015 that or the place that had dirt floors with pallets to stand on that the wife and I stayed in at LOZ a few years ago, I'll never live that one down. Oh no Clayton... next time let me (or Chris) know next time you need a place to stay hah Quote
cbass12 Posted February 10, 2015 Posted February 10, 2015 I'm liking the look of Spider Creek!! As long as there is a way to hook up to power for the boats. Quote
RangerDanger Posted February 10, 2015 Posted February 10, 2015 Spider Creek > Riverview > Thermans Quote
RangerDanger Posted February 12, 2015 Posted February 12, 2015 My sources in Rogers suggested the following: Lost Bridge Resort and Marina Coppermine Lodge Whispering Hills Resort Ventris Trails End Resort Beaver Lake View Resort Starkey area The only ones close to Eureka is Beaver Lake View Resort and the Starkey area. He said that Riverview and Spider Creek are solid choices with Spider Creek getting the edge. He did recommend fishing on the dam side of the lake, although clear the water level and color are more consistent. Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted February 15, 2015 Author Global Moderator Posted February 15, 2015 So who do we have paired off so far? As of right now I think we have Peter/Jimmy Curt/Coty Clayton/?? Ryan/?? Chris T/?? Jared/?? Adam/?? Jon/?? ??/Sean Maybe Sam, Andy Trying to get an idea of what the teams will be so if we have more boaters than non-boaters those guys can start to figure out who's boat they're taking and so we can get a better idea how many guys we'll have there so we can figure out how big of cabins/hotel rooms we need to be looking at to fit everyone. I got my days off approved so I'm officially there I agree that Spider Creek looks like a pretty good deal as far as our needs and the location if everyone is okay with that? In case nobody has looked, a 3 day non-resident fishing permit is $11. A non-resident trout permit is $12 if anyone is thinking about testing the waters by Spider Creek if we stayed there. Quote
Super User Hi Salenity Posted February 15, 2015 Super User Posted February 15, 2015 Me and the Wife and another couple are going to stay at the Cat House in Eureka on March 7. If we find a place we like I can go check it out for us... If we stayed at Spider what cabin or cabins are you thinking? I'm still thinking hotels will be the way to go, everyone gets a bed and 2 people/ bathroom and would cost around $65 per person for the weekend. I don't know about everyware else but Thurman's doesn't charge a deposit to reserve a room and you can cancel your reservations free of charge if you do it within 24/hrs of your stay. This may be the norm for the area I don't know? Quote

Super User Hi Salenity Posted February 15, 2015 Super User Posted February 15, 2015 http://www.cathouselounge.com This is my all time favorite place to stay. They rent out the 2 rooms above the bar. It makes for an awesome weekend getaway! They don't have squat for parking so don't bring your boat. Quote
