Thought you were on the roster.

I was. Renter is moving out of my house in Girard tomorrow. I'm going to work on it tomorrow night and Saturday to get it posted back up for rent or sell it. Sunday I'm going to fish Bone Creek for my EKB club. It's my home lake, and as tight as the co-angler points are I might as well quit fishing the club if I miss that tournament.

Much Stripers, much Spots

It was tough fishing, but we still caught a good number of fish. Long weekend and I'm still trying to recover after getting about 7 hours of sleep all weekend.

First fish of the weekend, on a spook.

Struggled the rest of the first day. Neither Chris or I ever caught a striper, and had a hard time finding anything decent sized. Chris caught this one at the end of the first day on Ned. He was trying to hook one of the hundreds of gar that were surfacing and accidentally got this

Saturday we moved down to the dam. We got about a mile from the ramp and Chris' motor started acting funny. Not sure what was wrong yet but the short version of the story is that we were without an outboard and had to be towed back to the ramp at about noon. In between that we finally found some fish despite about 15-16 feet of visiblity. Some of the clearest water I've ever seen except for Lake Tahoe.

First fish on a tube 2 lb 8 oz

Then we found a bank with a flat and some really nice rocks on it and proceeded to pick up several decent smallie

Biggest smallie of the trip for me on Ned 3lb 1 oz

Sunday we took off from the cabin and drove to the strip pits. I only caught one but it was a decent 2 1/2 pounder on a pink bladed jig

Clayton had big fish on the day. He may correct me but I think it went right around 4 pounds.

I figured it must have been tough or there would have been posts by now lol.

Lots of lakes seem to be very clear this spring, has to be because the region hasn't gotten much rain. Stockton was 14' easily, probably more in spots.

Jon and I caught a ton but they were mostly smaller but that's pretty typical of Beaver. I caught 3 stripers up to 11.5lbs the first hour and those were or only stripers of the trip.

Forgot about one picture. Saturday after we got towed back to the ramp by Ranger Danger and Sizzle we ate lunch off HWY 62 and then went back to prairie creek to try to find some stripers. Clayton caught a decent LM on his big Deps swimbait (not sure which one it is) that hit right at the surface and was a lot of fun to watch.

So much white!! :laugh5:

I managed to keep from getting very red too, which is a victory for someone who burns if the moon is too bright.

My pictures from the trip.

You really don't want to see the pics I have and sizzle forgot to take a pic of the biggest fish landed in my boat.  I do have this one appropriate for the public view.

In Canada, you snap the neck and throw a walleye that size on the floor of the boat for lunch!
